The 18th of November is Latvian Independence Day. The Latvian Centre in Toronto had a full day of events to commemorate the day. I went in the evening to listen to some speeches and a violin/cello concert. The concert was wonderful. The majority of speeches not so inspiring. One speaker in particular talked about how young Latvian people are losing their "Latvian-ness" and aren't involved in the community. As a young Latvian person those statements didn't sit well with me, so I just talked to the camera about it. This is what was created.

That is just what sparked the video. I think it morphed into something positive. And hopefully morphs/changes/grows further :)

i went on a 4 day over night field trip with my practicum students and two other classes. we did a lot of hiking in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. a little snippet. my favourite part of the hike.
