So these last couple of days, wirrow's amazing video "and a new earth" has been somewhat flying around my mind. And I really would like to do something that correlates to it, but I'm still sort of contemplating the idea. I've been trying to sum up what that video did to me the first time I watched it. I was going to make a kind of video response to it, but a part of me says that I haven't really gotten the full idea of it yet (the whole thing was so complex, my beginner English is praying for mercy). So I guess what I'm proposing here is for you guys to make a RECord about what the video has done to you. In other words, what did you get from watching it? What message? What feeling? Which line you relate to the most? Which line is your absolute favorite and why? And what is exactly "a new earth" for you? Basically, those kinds of questions. I just think it'd be interesting to see this explored, simply because a lot of you have expressed that somehow you can relate to the video, while wirrow himself has stated that the content of the video itself is actually directed to himself. It made me feel like we're all being connected through this amazing "stream of consciousness-y thing one of us has been writing lately." It would be awesome if we have people talking to a camera answering to the questions I mentioned above. And maybe we could make something else out of it again. Cause that's how we roll, isn't it? So, is this a valid idea? Or should I just go and forget about this idea? Tell me what you think! :) |

I think we've got a lot of great writers on the site. And I also think that there needs to be a place for these great writers to showcase their pieces, collaborate with other writers, or even collaborate with other artists (visual, music, etc). So, I have this idea that there should be a one special place to sort of collect all those pieces of writing that we, the writers, think have the potential to go on as a further, broader, more exciting collaboration with other artists. And you know how exciting it is to have these sort of collaborations (just look at how far MMM Date with Destiny has come). So, for a start, I think we're going to need everyone to contribute their pieces of writing. It could be anything; poems, short stories, screenplay, etc. These pieces can be turned into songs, short films, long films, anything. And for those who aren't necessarily 'writers', this could be a sort of place for you to seek some inspirations to create something entirely new. How about that? I think that's all I've got for now to say, let's see how far this would come. Happy writing and contributing! :) |
