Not like the original need any adjustments. I just wanted to see what it would look like in a minamlisitc style...
I'm just going to sit here and be amused that, of all the crap on my coffee table, you can clearly see that the book on the bottom is called Epidemiology.
Clever, distinctive ending seeks brilliant beginning.
Yep, this one took forever. Hands down the longest drawing i've ever done. About 9-10 hours on the carpet, 5-6 hours on the wallpaper. As time went by it became more and more about the process, I knew most people wouldn't notice little details, but i'd know they were there. Now I can't look it as a whole, i've spent too long close up. As always, please view with a sense of humour. I had to upload a HUGE file (about 67 MB) to keep all the detail, but it may be worth downloading to see, if you can be bothered. All drawn with a couple of 0.1mm and 0.05mm fine liners on A4 paper.
It's no secret that the Vinyl Collab is one of my all time favorites. I was quite absent for a while and when I came back, the first thing I did was to take a look at the collab page and there was a lot of material to be used (including awesome stuff like pamagotchi's "living sound" and Ryan Patrick's great voiceover that I really had to use). So I decided to compile everything and make a very extended version of the doc. It's about 9 minutes long and there were still things left out.
I wanted it look like a casual conversation between record lovers.
Hope you enjoy!
* Couldn't resource these two videos:
got the summertime blues, so it's high time that i do me.
headin south to california, the land of opportunity
got a glass-house dream, afraid i'm gonna break it.
if you never try, how the fuck you gonna make it?
if you want something bad enough you need to picture it, specific,
like the sun setting majestically over the pacific.
then naturally the universe will draw you toward that object,
and it doesn't matter what you gotta go through, if you want it.
not everybody sees it
you gotta believe it
if you don't have a goal,
you can never achieve it.
so dive in head first
followin your passion
hopin that it won't produce the opposite reaction
can't change the climate
accept it or deny it
this current's so strong
i can no longer fight it
i know what you'll say
it sounds so cliche
i bought my first car,
headin south to L.A.
Remixed Marie Bee's Willow Tree song to play along with my guitar bit and came up with this. <3
2 takes; 1 up close, 1 wide.
Remixed the awesome footage missamerica shot into a Theme Bumper for RE: Games.
