Dear America,
This is a day of mourning not just for you, but for the world. The victims of these attacks will never be forgotten. People may get closure, may begin to live again, but they will never forget. Those 2,977 people were innocent, they never hurt anybody; and what happened to them is branded on the conscious of our world forever. What they went through was terrible. But today shouldn't be about sadness. Today was I love Stoke Newington day in London and national Catalan day in Catalonia. The people who attended those celebrations had those attacks on their mind all day just like the rest of us, but they made the 9th Anniversary of 9/11 about happiness. Everyone knows it's hard to smile through the grief, but to celebrate the lives of those men, women and children is to do them justice. They deserve the best, so lets's give it to them. Thank you |
