spaceship's RECommendations

This is my first attempt at depicting a move from a small town to a city. It's a rough draft and the next one I post will probably have a more structured narrative or slower clips. I'd love audio track suggestions, especially any musings over the differences between small towns and cities (any/all other critique, suggestions, etc. would be really great too).

I used spaceships awesome 'Hey! A Hit Record!" and some REmixed tiny stories to make a song.

Deffo needs more vocals layers or maybe even a different voice altogether singing it but here is a start! I was so in love with spaceship's track I had to do this. :)

Eventually be very cool to make a video using the tiny story animations...

Blow, blow, pour the water to put out the fire
If life is a dream then your dreams are something higher
Run run faster than the wind that clears the dust
If you can' trust your gut then what can you trust?

Here is my first cut of the Nothing Big performance. I love the way they play off of each other in this. So cute. Once more footage and the sound board recording gets put up I'll take another crack at this.

Dan The Automator came by the REC Room the other day and guess what, he wants to work with us! He wants to make a song using only hitRECord resources and then upload it to the site for us to use and abuse.  This is how you can contribute.

  • If you guys make albums of 5 to 10 recommended audio RECords and contribute them to this collaboration.

  • Write a description of why you recommend these files and mark the time where that specific sound comes in if necessary.

  • Drum solos are very important.  Preferably in 4/4.

  • And remember, the more "full" a song is the more difficult it will be to work with. Something with some sparsity or breathing room would be ideal.

Thanks Again,

<3
