Imagination:

Imagine a world in which each and every one of us were granted a penny for everytime we smiled. How rich do you think you would be right now? Think about all those moments you rejected being happy because you were just in a bad mood or wanted to be stubborn to your partner.. or maybe just because you happen to watch a lot of scary movies where there really is no reason to smile. Whatever the case may have been, think about all those pennies you could've racked up in that time. Think about all that money lost. Would you want to go back and re-live the days and times you simply did not feel like smiling and taking a chance to be happy other than moping and dwelling on things you cannot change? (but you can...)

Reality:

POOF! Imagination on hold. Let's see... admit it, today if we were to see someone walking around with a big smile on their face for simply no reason at all.. what would we think? Maybe that person is crazy.. maybe that person is seriously stoned.. maybe that person just won the lottery (if only...) Majority of people tend to think that being too happy or too smiley is a sign of insanity or that it's "annoying". Why is this? I can't lie and say if I witnessed a person walking by themselves, on the sidewalk, just smiling away with no pause for a straight face..I may raise an eyebrow. We all may. The thing is, I see little children almost all the time, walking around with a constant smile and constant giggles and expressions of "Oooh" and "Aahh". Like the clouds in the sky are really big puffy marshmallows and the gritty dirt on the ground isn't "dirt" it's just wise sugar. Sugar that's done it's duty and lived it's life and now just feels like relaxing on the ground and watching the marshmallows up above drift on by thinking "We helped raise those marshmallows and boy, are they a hit!?". Chances are, many adults would scoff upon that last sentence and find this to be highly impractical. Some will mumble "Oh, grow up!" and I say "No way!" but how come? I have the answer for that...
