My first contribution for the Mademoiselle Noir collab.

Sorry if it looks crappy and all.

I love what ibkellymorris did with some of the childhood contributions, and I decided to make this small video, according to the song! Hope you all like it! :D

The outside of the house was a dull yellow that needed to be painted badly

There was an unfinished screen porch that had been put off for the last 2 months

But these things, were not important

For inside a fierce battle rages on.

Kel Owens is reaching the top of a snow capped mountain

He has been hunting the elusive Yeti

The wind whips at his face

The cold chills him to the bone, but he just smiles

For he knows he is close

He can smell the musk of the Yeti’s hide

He can just see over the top of a peak the mouth of a cave

Now he stands in front of it taking a glance back down the traitorous mountain he has just scaled

He takes a few steps forward….

A low growl that sends a chill up his spine emits from the cave

As he moves to enter the cave, not knowing or caring what danger awaits him….he pauses…

Kelvin, dinner!

G.I. Joes and Barbies, Lincoln logs and Garden’s

Dressing up the dog in cabbage patch doll clothing

Listening to grandpa tell the same old stories

Smells of chocolate cake are cooking in the oven

Rainbow bright and bright lite, stories with a flashlight

Pillow fights, fireflies, mosquito bite and fireflies

Building sandcastles and magic shows

Playing hide n’ go seek and shouting out ready or not here I come!

I’m ready, you ready, I’m ready, hello?

Ready or not here I come (giggling)

These are the best adventures that I’ve had

inspired by the themetafictionist's 'Bliss (blackout poetry)' RECord, i thought it would be fun to see what other poems could come out of tori's BLISS writing piece, so i came up with this here thing.

AND NOW, FOR SOME EXCITING NEWS! Levi's® is coming on board through the end of the year to support the hitRECord community and help us share our art more broadly than ever before. Check out this video for more. I'm super-stoked about it!

Levi's® has quite a history of supporting innovative art and artists. I'm honored that hitRECord and our community are joining the long list of artists that Levi's has collaborated with, which include Shephard Fairey, The Andy Warhol Foundation, Damien Hirst, and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem.

2012 is shaping up to be a pretty busy year for hitRECord. Later in the year we're doing a mini tour of our Live Shows with the support of Levi's. They are also going to be distributing our more polished videos far and wide on the Interwebs. And not only that, we'll all be collaborating to create a limited edition piece of art together.

And as a result of this collaboration, we'll be able to pay our contributing artists way more than we've ever been able to before!
