Come work with us as we create an Animated Sequence to be included in the Live Edit of RegularJOE's "Fall Formal Finale" musical performance.

In the song, Joe has a conversation with God regarding the history of RECording, coinciding with the history of man. The Animation would be integrated into the Live Edit to help characterize this conversation. We're hoping to include this on our upcoming hitRECorderly #3 LIVE ALBUM and we've enlisted AW Clift from the community to serve as Resident Animator.

I really like owls!

(I added this to the Summer Collection collab because I know we have sold posters in the past and thought that this could possibly be produced as a poster print.)

Since the end of the show, I've been trying to figure out the best way to express all of my jumbled thoughts and feelings about it. Watching the livestream, I felt moments of excitement and indescribable pride. SO many times, I smiled and laughed, marveling at all that we have accomplished -  a few times, I winced and bit my knuckles in uncertainty.

When I woke up this morning, I wasn't sure what I wanted to say. And so, I started cutting up some paper. And soon I realized, as the pieces came together, we have SO much to celebrate. Some things last night were PERFECT, and others were rough and a little awkward - but that's the great thing about hitRECord. We try new things, we take chances, and we move forward in brand new ways. I love what we've accomplished so far, and I can't wait to see what comes next!

A recap of the "hitRECord At the Movies" show at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. I like how the shows have been balancing meaningful discussions, audience participation, and movies. It's been awesome to see the format evolve from city to city.

Oh... and what's a media release? Never heard of one. :P

Now it's time to work on Issue #3 of THE HITRECORDERLY - our quarterly subscription series!

For the Autumn Issue we're gonna create works of art based on all of the live shows we've done over the past few years!

VIDEO EDITORS: Go through all the great footage from our Live Shows & start cutting together new records - or refine remixes that are already in progress. Keep in mind these remixes don't have to stick just to the live setting - you can cut together all kinds of Audio & Video from hitRECord to make something entirely new that evokes that live moment.

CURATORS: Compile an Album of all your favorite Live Moments that you think we should remix & contribute it to the collab.

The Live Shows have always been something I've really loved about hitRECord & it'd be great to get this 3rd issue completed in time for upcoming Live Shows so we can sell it there!

One of our greatest shortcomings as a production company has been distributing payments to our contributing artists.  We've been working, re-working and ironing out a new monetization method to automate these payments so they go out in a more timely manner.  I'm so stoked to announce we have a round of checks heading out to the contributing artists of the following three productions:

* "Inception" Dream Documentary

* Spring Collection / RECord Store 2011

* College Tour 2010

The total amount for this round of checks is $40,085.00 and they are going out to 261 artists whose work is included in these productions.

Our production company grew faster than expected and, as a result, we fell behind on paying our contributing artists. But we're catching up! My sincerest apologies on getting this round of checks out to you guys late.

I want to say thank you to all of you that have contributed to these art projects. I have a lot of fun doing this work with you guys!

PERCUSSIONISTS: Let's get some ACOUSTIC PERCUSSION on this and use your imagination - keep the sound RAW & ACOUSTIC!

BASSISTS: We don't need anything too flashy for a bass line, JUST HOLD DOWN THE BEAT.

GUITARISTS: Let's get some ACOUSTIC GUITARS on the chorus section and to fill some spaces. We're totally open to hearing some ELECTRIC GUITAR on here, so feel free to find some spots for one.

SINGERS: ANYONE can sing on this song. WE WANNA HEAR AS MANY VOICES AS POSSIBLE ON THE CHORUS!

ALL OTHER MUSICIANS: Think outside the box! Accordion, Harmonium, Violin, Cello, and any other instruments you can muster are all welcome.
