I recently started talking to HitRECorders 'rayperez' and 'dcsweet' over Twitter about ideas for a new Collab. I have always appreciated how wide the HitRECord community is, and how many Time Zones it spans, so I began discussing with both HitRECorders the idea that we could somehow explore the concept of representing the movement of time over the Time Zones. Then Ray came up with a great idea - Traveling HitRECorders. He suggested that we could create the effect that time stands still, by running along with the sun. I think that this really puts us all out as a huge community, which, reminiscent of Queen Victoria's empire, never sleeps. So, what we need YOU to do is to take photos of you, in the foreground, with the sun in the background, so that somehow (as we're currently in early stages of this Collab) we could give the effect that we are all "running after the sun". I think that this would be great way to show how we are always creating a steady stream of RECords, and show just who we are. dcsweet is in Indonesia, RayPerez is in the US and I'm in England! So remember to add the time and place underneath (as well as the TimeZone title). Feel free to contribute videos, texts, images, audios; ANYTHING, to make this come to life. Ray will have more soon, as will myself and dcsweet. They're better at explaining than i am! Thanks :) |

I suddenly realised that it would be great to explore how different people have various handwriting styles, so I would appreciate it if people who take a photo of their handwriting (or else video themselves writing - posture, the way they grip their pen/pencil) or even just talk about how you like to write. I don't know how you could convey this by text, but it would be great if someone could compile these into a video with an audio background. I think that this could be an insight into the way people develop handwriting styles, and it would be a great experiment to RECord an archive of anything! Feel free to write however you want, from simple sentences to block words, just make sure that they are how you would normally write in general, or, if your writing style fluctuates (mine certainly does) then write the same sentence in your different ways, RECord it in any way you want on anything (paper, wood,stone for instance) and contribute it here!
