I was hesitant to post this at first because it's so raw (no music, no VO, not even partially completed, etc etc)...but I thought I'd share what I'm working on.
This is just the beginning of a much larger, more complex animation than I've ever done.
We'll see where this goes!
Mirtle's image and Metaphorest's poem wouldn't leave my dreams alone and, inspired, i went and began another project, turning house and home into a forest of well-used scrap paper.
In the midst of hectic Thanksgiving preparations but I wanted to share this initial photo.
I moved recently and just finished unpacking the last box, which happened to contain folder upon folder of notes.
Most of my notes looked somehing like this.
I also just transitioned from using lined-page notebooks to a journal with blank pages. In the few weeks since, I've re-found my artistic voice.
Learning cursive would have been a lot more fun if I'd had this adorable little rhyme running through my head.
The Occupy Wall Street movement is about so much.
It's about voicing the frustration, the anger, the disillusionment of the 99% who have been ignored for so long by the 1%.
It's about the hope we have for CHANGE, the desire for JUSTICE, the belief we all share in the tenets upon which our country was founded - for the people, by the people, of the people.
This video shows only a tiny fraction of the Occupy movement - but I hope it expresses (at least partially) what We the People feel.

I vaguely remember sketching this in the middle of the night, half-asleep, but didn't remember what I'd drawn until I flipped through my notebook in the morning.
It was probably part of a dream: in my waking state, I'm a bit of a chicken so there'd be no tempting of monsters for me. My subconscious is obviously braver when left to its own devices.
