i usually write my ideas and remix reminders on little notes all over my desktop but have found it to be quite unreliable as my computer crashed and took my reminders with it :/ (and most of my handwritten notes get lost!)
so i figured i would make my own notebook especially for hitRECord stuff! this is the cover i made (with my daughter's stamps! if only she had a red circle stamp i could have alternated the hearts and circles!), and i thought other people might like to use it or parts of it for remixing :D all the hearts look slightly different so even if you need a single heart feel free to take one (or afew) :D
i really would have loved to put old vintage handwritten text under the hearts and kind of had it faded underneath but i am wayyyy to newb on photoshop for that! haha

Hi everyone! We've just posted the Profit Proposals for Tour 2012 as well as the Partnerships 2012 Profit Proposals. We're excited for you all to check them out and tell us what you think!

In 2012 we were fortunate enough to form partnerships with SONY and Levi's®. As a result of these partnerships, we are able to pay our Contributing Artists more than ever before!
As always, we split profits on hitRECord 50/50. 50% of the profits of these partnerships will go to hitRECord LLC and we thought the best way to allocate these profits was to spread the community's share across all of 2012's productions. The community's share totals $306,772.

* Tour 2012: 25.75% / $78,994
* hitRECorderly (4 issues): 25.75% / $78,994

Old things. Things that barely function but still have their purpose. Things that don't belong to me but now… belong to me. Things I often use, and wear out so spectacularly. Things from across the world. Things that act their age, and those that have no age. Things that hurt but look so bloody beautiful.
New things. Things that are yet to be enjoyed. That, for the moment, function rather well. Things that constantly teach me new things. Things that… I assure you can explain. Things that I just have no idea how to explain. Nevertheless, they are still my favourite things.
At least for now, they are my favourite things.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS: COME MAKE ART w/ US RE: "MY FAVORITE THINGS!"
You may have heard that I wrote and directed the upcoming movie "DON JON." It's a comedy about this guy named Jon who is very into his things - his car, apartment, body, and the women in his life that he treats like objects on a shelf. I want us all to make art regarding the theme "MY FAVORITE THINGS."
For instance, ask yourself: What are your favorite things? Can you truly love a thing? Can people be considered 'things?' Do our favorite things define us?
I've had this movie in my head for so long now, I'm really curious to see what kind of stuff it inspires us to make together.

I have never ever shared my music like this. It's personal - especially the writing process. However, I wrote this in the morning after having woken up with it in my head - and I thought, "Well, Kevin - you're a hitRECorder now - let's put this up and see what happens."
Inspired by Michele, the overall feeling of a dream I've been having recently, and my life in general as of late. Recorded it quickly as I plan on formally recording it later, but wanted to share and throw it out there in it's absolute infancy. The reason? Collaboration of course! Seems I'm slowly working up to releasing music. - Though, in the mean time.. if you want to write something, or come up with a scratch vocal track or something over this scratch recording - when it goes formal, so can your vocals (or I can sing the lyrics if you don't and/or won't)
Please take it and make it your own.
