- Hold On To Your Dreams - Preview 1
Hey all, finally got around to some remixing again. I searched the site for some acapellas and got inspired by two of them that seemed to have a similar theme. They are from kidcubicle and KamPAIGN. They both seemed to speak to holding on to your dreams and trying not to lose sight as you work your way forward through the maze of life. We're all a work in progress. I think probably most all of us here on hitRECord can relate as we all do what we can to pursue our dreams and push our passions forward.
It's a hip hop track that's still a work-in-progress. Right now it's missing a chorus and I'm going to start a collaboration to see if I can get one of hitRECord's sulty, soulful female singers to sing a chorus over the top and I'll mix it in. More details in the collab.
The song is 93 bpm, there are 3 chorus spots at 1:01, 2:03, and 3:15 all starting with the cymbal crash on the 1.
The bassline is pretty low - sine wave bass that goes below 50 hz, so it's best played on a system with a subwoofer or headphones that can handle that range well, but either way :P

- Hibernation Preview 1
Had a spontaneous moment chatting online with Johhny Clyde (http://hitrecord.org/users/Johnnyclyde) about education, career path, music, networking, and story telling through composition.
So I leave you with an impromptu soundscape about winter and hibernation. All of life enters a mode of hibernation as it braces for winter and hardships. The will to survive solidifies resolve as crystalline structures emerge to brace winter's whipping winds along the landscape. Freezing, thawing, dripping, blowing, shimmering, chaotic. A slow and steady pulse stabilizes as life surrenders to a state of suspended animation.

no one is fooled; car alarms and motion sensor lights can only work once and they always go off at the wrong times so the rest of us will tune them out and tune you out: your lack of courage to open your heart did you ever shake your neighbor's hand? |

- Here Again (Theme)
|
Please Remind me how I got here again Through gradual change Great distances travelled Exquisite moments traversed And yet somehow I find myself back Again Have I been standing still And Moving forward at the same time There is a moment in which I cannot tell Can you tell me Can someone tell me Maybe this is a good place to be After all Sometimes I cannot tell Here again… |
