Yesterday, Matt (The Morning Hollows) and I recorded drums and percussion. He played the instruments while I handled the recording and mixing duties.
I spent today combining many of the elements you guys recorded and printed a mix I feel great about and just had to post ASAP. Definitely has that fat analog feel, perfect for vinyl!
For the gear heads out there:
Drums were tracked into Pro Tools LE with Apogee AD16x conversion via ADAT into a Black Lion Audio Sig Series DIGI 003. Mics were 57's all around on drums, an Akg D12E on kick in, Beta 52 on kick out, Oktava mk12s on overheads, Pearlman Tm-1 for room, Cascade Fat Head on hat. Mic Pre's were Vintech 573 on kick, API 512c on snare, Art Tubes on overheads, Mackie Onyx pres on everything else.

Song was mixed "in the box" in Pro Tools LE, clocked externally to Apogee AD16x.
Monitors were Adam A7x monitors, AKG K240 headpphones, Yamaha NS-6390 passive speakers.
File is 24Bit/48Khz.

I had an itch to write something last night, I know it's short and more of a sketch, but I wanted to post something, it's been too long! Maybe something more can happen to it at some point. Hope you guys like it!
Also, the strings are from a mellotron(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mellotron).
