*just random thoughts* I'm never going to give you up Hitrecord as long as the people I got to know while on here are still active. The support I got my second reboot on this site by Gaby and Rochelle with my poem Dreamer really helped launch me on a creative journey that led me to make things I never thought I would. Matthew also gave a lot of support, as well DianeFT, Amber, Emma, Chad (wonderful Chad who edited my story for me-thank you!) and Sabine. I also got to cross paths with quite a few others-Jordan and Maryer. As far as remixing I appreciate Ola, Lyrtician, Babbish, and especially Ashley for remixing The Road Less Traveled On. Also Joab and his kindness came to mind as well as the kind words from Marcelle and KouraLily,UniqueMichelle, KyraBlue,  Psalmist, and the now defunct accounts of Tibbs and twofortosquare, spider, AnneMarjie and a few others.

That said I didn't start off on the site as being a hearter. I was excited upon hearing the site existed as I was a fan of JGL and uploaded some poems hoping they would be remixed into songs. I didn't really understand how the site worked 100%, so when the 'making stuff together' didn't really happen for me I got discouraged. I also was really intimidated to remix as I didn't feel worthy of touching anyone else's work. It felt a bit too unusual and I was more excited about being honored with a remix. It didnt occur so I stopped visiting the site for a year. Then I returned and I'm not sure exactly how Gaby and Rochelle found my poem but they rereced it and I was so encouraged I kept on writing diligently. However it is no secret that writers fly way under the radar as opposed to artists on the site, but I actually appreciated this now as I was able to grow quietly.

That said thanks to this site I learned how to make songs and now have a full Lp worth of songs. I have taken down all of my records just because I felt like it kept me in the spotlight here on hitrecord and I do feel like we should keep the site here for making stuff not promoting what you have already made. There's other sites for that like youtube. Hitrecord is to make stuff and that's why i took it down. I made what I set out to make-songs-and I did it by means outisde of hitrecord. I'm grateful for my time here and will continue to heart what I like and see the potential for remixing. If I have one beef with hitrecord it is the lack of remixing, especially with alot of under the radar records.

Thank you if you read this far. Feel free to hmu on twitter. Best to all.

Happy recording!

Melissa
