Set in the 60s, "A Woman Scorned." follows the story of a black woman named Darlene. She is so severely abused by her War-Vet husband that she ends up developing neurotic behaviors. While at it, delusions develop, causing her to create this imaginary “other woman” whom she believes is seeing her husband. Driven by jealousy, she ends up killing him.

She is obviously unaware that she's lost touch with reality at this point.

So clearly, she’s sick and needs mental health care. But then it’s the 60s and women's rights are still boxed. Plus, the mental health field is not yet advanced seeing as doctors still have a lot more diseases of the mind to identify and label. Luckily, a young Caucasian doctor in her late 30s discovers Darlene's story and decides to help. Darlene's story also manages to spark the interests of an aspiring Caucasian lawyer who strongly supports the civil rights movement.

From then on, these 3 put on a fight. Will they win?

This is a blend of 60s politics, the discovery/identification of battered women's syndrome, post-traumatic stress, feminism, living with a bleeding identity etc, Race discrimination.....

Genre: Drama, Psychological Thriller, Period-Piece, Political Commentary

Her mind was desperately holding on to the skeletons of her painful History--->A collection of dead memories that slithered around her brain spreading Hurt. She found herself feeding on her own pain, swallowing all the lies he made when their marriage was a pleasant illusion.

It was 1967 in Louisiana and the sun was taking flight, clogging the atmosphere with blazing heat. Darlene was carefully washing her children's clothes. She wanted their costumes of adolescence to be perfect.........They were all she had after-all.
