This piece is the child born of the story below: Please, read it if you would like to know more about my own story behind it.

There's plenty of room for people to put their own story to it, or comment about how they interpret this video... or derive something entirely new from it. Who knows!
Though, in short, this piece is a wave goodbye to my past. Now, finding myself on hitRECord, collaborating means building new things. Part of building a-new is letting go. Inadvertently, while building the edit I discovered that the threaded stories are connected in very unexpected ways, but that there is one underlying story being told over the years.
With collaboration in mind, there's a lot more I would have liked to include in this (To just give to hitRECord), but since a lot of it is under the (Awfully outdated) Warner/Universal contracts - they technically own it, even though I created it... and since THE LAW IS THE LAW... well, I could only use some of my old stuff. Which, I simply wanted to offer up to anyone who wants to do anything with it. Hence why I am also uploading the raw materials (Including some RAW .R3D files and 1080p versions)
On a special note: The beginning and the end shots of the girl in bed, are of Michéle, and also the very first things that I'd ever shot with her (12 years ago?) - which, was one of the very first times I'd done something on my own for the sake of doing it. That is to say, not as part of some music video or some client thing. Then again, you'd get that and then some, if you read the story linked above! (Personally, I wish I could find the old stop motion flicks I made when I was 6... oh well.)
Added this to a few other related collaborations, aside from just the loops collab. Which, I know is an old project - but I still wanted to put this in there, since it's so deeply personal to me. It hit me in the bones.

I wanted to test out my new camera rig yet again and had some fun with my son and wife filming a very rare sighting of superman riding a bicycle.....enjoy!
P.S. - Thanks to Connor Quigley for the audio track!
A visual poem based on the monologue, Night Luster written by playwright Laura Harrington. We shot this with the actual monologue for the actors demo reel and was removed so that I could post it here. Help give it a story, an emotion. I'm excited to see what's out there for this piece.
I love the stuff LoFi and Charlie Bird come out with, such a great duo!
This is just kind of a mish mash of styles and feelings. Just decided to have a little fun with some color, music, VO and titles.
P.S. I think Richie "The Voice" Millennium would be perfect for the VO on this. Where you at Richie??
Shimmering lights generated by 'Color Grain' effect Adobe AfterEffects 36 seconds
Even thought it's short, I'm pretty happy with this.

The passionate, romantic trapeze performance of Duo Rose combines unique dynamic elements with aerial contortion. The seamless flow of highly technical skills and intense passion creates a fluid aerial ballet that never fails to elicit a powerful emotional response.
Samuel and Sylvia have worked together for five years to combine their backgrounds in aerial arts, gymnastics, and contortion to create this dynamic aerial adagio act. They developed their act independently without primary instruction from a circus school or dedicated trainer and have toured their act internationally in some of the top circuses and variety houses in Europe.
They have performed for private events, festivals, and corporate functions as well as larger productions, including Tigerpalast Varieté, Frankfurt, the Swiss Christmas Show, the Dirk Denzer International Varieté Festival, Flic Flac Zirkus, the Seattle Moisture Festival 2010 & 2011, the Zoppe Family Circus, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and Dreamcast Entertainment’s production “Taganai.”
In August 2010 they made history becoming the the first American circus artists to perform in Havana, Cuba since 1959. Officially sanctioned by the United States Government to travel to Cuba, they competed in the 9th International Circus Festival, CIRCUBA in Havana, where they earned the Bronze medal.
Alfie the main protagonist of this short film was a much loved personal robot butler of an English family in not so much in the near future. It's his story of tragedy he faces of losing his arm and how a book of Prometheus helps him to re-invent himself. It's a story about how he breaks the shackles of his own short comings to reach his goal. His greatest short coming becomes his greatest tool to enter to a whole new world.
