Simple. A collaboration of people releasing a list of their 5 favorite words to say, use, for the way they sound or the way they look or whatever.. just five, one contribution.
Maybe could be used as inspirations to songs or scripts or whatever. |

**Inspired by MissAmerica's Lovely Stock Footage Album** The Stock Footage Game is a Race as to who can upload as many stock footage clips related to a Featured Record before the time runs up. RULES: 1. When a Record is Featured on Hit Record's Main Page it is in Game Play. 2. To Start Play: You must create an album Entitled "[Featured Record Title] Stock Footage Game". Then Contribute that Album to this Collaboration. 3. Then Upload as many clips as you can pertaining to that Featured Record in said album. Game Play stops when 2 other records have been featured after said record. 4. You cannot duplicate stock footage subject matter, and be careful not to duplicate other user's stock footage subject matter. If Record is open to interpretation, then so are the Stock Footage Clips. Please just name what your stock footage is relating to for EACH Particular Featured Record. If record is specific and obvious stock footage has been uploaded, it is then time to get creative. STOCK CLIP CRITERA: 1. Must be in 1280x720HD or higher res!!!!! (this is a serious must) & .mov or other universal file types are appreciated. 2. Must be at least 10 seconds long, no more than 1 minute. 3. Must be properly labled. 4. Must be pertaining to Featured Record in specific or vague ways. NOTE: Individual Clips should not be uploaded to this Collaboration ONLY ALBUMS. So if you are only uploading 1 or 2 pieces of Stock for the Featured Record, they should be probably labled as to what they are, IN an album that is titled pertaining to this collaboration. *Of course you are welcome to continue uploading stock footage to a clip after 2 records have been featured after, however the point of this game is to get creative stock footage, right away for your fellow recorders. So whats the fun in not playing by the rules?? Game Players get the satisfaction and bragging rights of donating (what hopes to be thousands) of stock footage clips to fellow Hitrecord users in an organized fashion and playing creative and inspirational games with fellow collaborators. Bonus points for also adding your stock footage as a resource to the featured record and the Stock Footage Collaboration by crispyfuller http://hitrecord.org/records/315509.

So I had this idea for a blog awhile back, that never came to be... It was to be me shooting interviews with young girls & boys that i know about what it is to be a girl or a boy in this current time. Dating, Sex, Relationships, Jobs, Everyday shit. This will be a collaboration that will hopefully inspire everyone to take out their cameras and interview people about these topics. Quick Tips: if you don't shoot their faces, its probably better. Just with this site and how it makes money, if you can find something different to shoot, I think that would be more intersting anyway. I'm going to upload the interviews I did and hopefully we can piece a episode thing for this site. Thats the goal, anyway. That means there's got to be a lot of contributions, so just go out and be annoying to your friends... |

So MattConely's Fake History or 1987 had an overwhelming response of great voices. and i did a version and i also had the pleasure of listening to other people's which I hadn't heard. I was floored by all the interesting voices on this site. and I want to hear more! So i was thinking we should create a catalog of everyones voice on HitRECORD reading the same thing, so if people need to find a specific voice for a project, they can come here and request a couple people do readings for them. Or just to even get inspired, I heard many voices today that made me want to write prose for them. So I propose we all read "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, It's public domain, and most of us read it in high school,so i hope there is a comfortableness with Robert Frosts way of writing. Everyone should just read it in their own voice, how they would say it, or they could do a couple characters reading the poem if they have those in the bag. Title your Record Yourname voice demo (#) and add it to this collab. Public Domain Poems Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. |

I don't know about anybody else, but I love to geek out on archive.org because it's fun to use your good ol' library search skills to come up with some crazy stuff made JUST WAITING to be turned into something crazier. There are public domain songs, texts, and so many great videos free to download. Go there: www.Archive.org *hint: use quotes in searches, and play with advanced search too. Anyway I was thinking if people add their previously mixed videos that contain archive footage and we go out and post reference links to great finds, we could really come up with something crazy good in the end, or a great place for people to come and find clips to work from on this site. One thing: TAG like crazy. If you post a reference link, tag it with everything you see. That way hitrecord.org can be like the refined archive.org so people can actually search for an image here, to use when they are trying to be specific with other remixes. |
