This piece is based on when I first joined the website back in January. I had been looking for somewhere creative either online or here in Dublin that would really take me outside myself...I read in a magazine that week that Joe was doing a creative collaboration project so I googled him and ended up here. This was the first video I watched on his profile (other than the introduction video).
It's such a great space for everyone to work on. Here's an illo I did based on Joe's motto "Are we recording?" I just took a random screen grab of the video footage and drew over it in photoshop. Anyone is free to use it...for anything they like. Thanks! ;-)
Hi everyone, this is my last illustration for the Little Red Riding Hood collaboration. Hopefully somebody will animate these or include these in some way. This is the aftermath, I imagined LRRH saying 'Big bad THAT, wolf' or something muttered after she slices him to bits LOL.
This was my first time collaborating with Hitrecord, I knew of the site last year but never sorta had the courage to do anything for it.
I really REALLY enjoyed working on this, don't really care if these paintings don't get used or anything, I just hope I motivated and inspired people to get working on this great website!
Peace xxx and love that robot!
So the Wolf has just devoured Grandma and here is his bad attempt at dressing as her.
He's layered on the make up and eyelashes...he's holding the wild flowers etc.
Note he has a tag on the house coat like seldelaterre had on in the live performance :)
Here's another illustration of when LRRH rips out of the Wolf's belly...really wanted to capture the feeling of release and triumph, so his guts are sorta being untangled.
It's really gory I know but I felt like I had to build on my LRRH being a samurai/ultra angry weapons expert LOL ^_^
This is the moment when the wolf knocks on the door and Grandma opens it...
I read seldelaterre's note about illustrating Grandma today, it really inspired me. So I based my Grandma on her and the outfit she wore at the live show. I'll upload more Grandma drawings as I go, you'll see how I illustrated her.
Just a quick little illustration...I imagined the wolf saying "R We Recording?" in Joe's deep sorta scary voice. I also wanted the creepy, stalker feel to the wolf...like he's videoing LRRH while she's picking flowers...really messed up in a way! 0_0
My fifth quick little painting, I guess this is the Wolf stalking LRRH...shes is in the forrest straying off the path, about to meet her fate! 0_0
Here is my 4th watercolour/Photoshop piece, the scene where LRRH goes to pick wild flowers. The flowers are very, very trippy looking!!!
