Death is an app. Before that, it was a commercial-free, 24-hour broadcast of the afterlife. Anyone who had died within the past decade showed up onscreen living a second episodic life in otherworld programming, with no memory of a previous existence. Ages changed; disfigurement was sometimes corrected. An alternate history was created for them while we yelled at the screen, “No! No! We’re here! You were here, too!” |

Imposter Syndrom
We’ll pour you out
you land, you take a bow
to no one
I try to feed you
music for cats
right now
your brain is a great a mystery as mine
still they use you
to understand time
I’m easy listening as they go about.
this being will self destruct in 5 4 3 2 1
wired to hurt
Spent years building character
and today i'm getting paid.
Your'e all writing poetry
I just worry
How long before
my cover's blown
I’m easy listening as you go about.
Show us your eyes
you owe us you owe us your eyes
take off those shades
we wear black
we too want to swallow light
Isn't it a waste?
all these beautiful words that will never
meet the ear
I showed up late.
i’m taking off my shades
This little guy is tired of being a shadow for a living so he goes on an adventure instead. It probably doesn't fit into the canon of the shadow beings universe but I loved the idea of a little shadow creature running around in the woods, so here it is.
Saw this little bit by JGrimm, and I just thought of this piece.
The little story reminds me of something hopeful and happy being melted away, broken down. So I had some bright colors fading away, streaming away to the bottom, and the colors at the bottom are a little duller and everything.
Yup, there ya go.
