jordyn.myah's RECommendations

Honey is so many things. It's warm, homely, glowy gold, Sweet, but not overly so. Honey makes me think of fall, And laughter over candlelight, And sunlight... sunshine. It fills me with happiness, It makes me feel full of love, It gives me a smile and imaginary hugs. I think it's only fitting, then, That a soul so full of warmth And radiance and love Should be remembered as The forever loved honeyboy. |

I thank you and all of hitrecord for the continued inspiration, light and love that you have shared with him. lovingly yours, inky |

I didn't know Niko very well, but I wanted to do this for him.
I purposely left it bare. Everyone should sing and play along! I figured after the verses maybe people could sing "honeyboy" or read something over the uke but whatever works! Also, the uke is a bit off at parts, but I can redo it if needed!
RIP, love.
take these holes inside our hearts
and fill them up with honey tonight

i made this for niko and inky. it's not much, but i couldn't stop crying and wanted to channel my grief into something uplifting; i barely made this, it sort of just made itself, but. i wanted to make you both a sunrise, out of niko's candle flame. never before have my heart and art overlapped as much as they are with this. as it fell into place, my tears dried, and a profound feeling of thanks rose in their place. RIP niko, and THANK YOU both for shining on me. <3
based on this quote that never fails to help me keep going:
“Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.” - Rabindranath Tagore
I've trapped your scent in a suitcase under my bed with clothes I can't wear anymore.
LydiaSaskia's totally rad illustration! i want it. so i put it on a tanktop. woot.
