This is a rough outline/idea of a song about people trying to get info out of a lady who has recently met a guy romantically. Whether or not there is in fact a guy, I haven't decided.

It's pretty pop. There's lots of room for additions and an instrumental before the last chorus. Yah.

Lyrics:

Curious, who's the guy that you hide from everyone,

Where'd you meet, is he sweet and tons of fun,

You won't even tell us his name,

Humour us, spit it out, we've had enough of the rumours,

Don't deny, I saw you hide the perfume from us,

We're getting bored of this game,

I've gota bottle of champagne,

Tell me all about the boy you met, I'm not upset,

Just curious,

We don't want to get in your business,

Do you want a plus one for Christmas?

Tell me all about the boy you met, do you love him yet? Is it serious?

Just curious

Is his love good enough for you?

Is it good for you?

You don't have to tell us,

You don't have to tell us,

Don't be coy, really though, we want to know where you

Found this boy,

We're getting bored of this game,

I've got a bottle of champagne,

Tell me all about the boy you met, I'm not upset,

Just curious,

We don't want to get in your business,

Do you want a plus one for Christmas?

Tell me all about the boy you met,

*strange indefinable noise*

There's no shame,

I've got a bottle of champagne,

Tell me all about the boy you met, I'm not upset,

Just curious,

We don't want to get in your business,

Do you want a plus one for Christmas?

Tell me all about the boy you met,

Just curious.

I wrote this around this time last year and I wanted to bring it back again with some better recording/mixing equipment.

I'm so exhausted.

Pamagotchi and I spent this evening writing this song and we had a lot of fun doing it.

The song is based on CaptClare's and Emma Conner's public domain images from French Chocolatiers in 1900 who speculated what the world would be like in 2000. Essentially, the ideas were fairly askew, but they weren't all that proposterous... though some most definitely were...

We're imagining a really fun, slapstick sound to this song, perhaps in the style of Spike Jones' "Cocktails for Two" (link below) with lots of sound effects! Perhaps there are some brass/kazoo players who could take over the riff and really jam it out during the instrumental? Visually, it would be cool to do some simple, steampunky visuals. We love the way they animated the interview "I Met The Walrus" with crazy images in a simple style.

We're both so excited to see how this song can expand for RE: The Future!

It's sort of 120bpm, but I stopped caring about the tempo early on... sorry!

Lyrics:

Professor, I've been pondering some questions in my mind,

What will planet earth by like in a hundred years' time?

Will man be strolling on the moon, make fact of science-fiction?

Settle down, my eager lad, I'll tell you my predictions...

In the year 2000 of our lord, our boats will sail on wheels,

And far off lands will be explored on dragons made of steel,

There'll be no more need for walking with our moving city streets,

And that's just the beginning, yes, the future's looking sweet,

Mark my words, tomorrow's world will be a sight to see,

You won't believe what lies in store for the 21st century,

Soon enough we'll plumb the depths in submarine contraptions,

And underwater croquet? Oh very much in fashion,

Far-flung friends will visit you in the comfort of your home,

Thanks to science's latest trick: the visual telephone!

Mark my words, the present will look practically primeval,

Wow! I can't wait to see the world 100 yeras from now.

Skipping forward a century, the future looks so ordinary,

Lunar landings? Yesterday's news!

But things aren't always what they seem, our views are quite selective,

2000 is exciting if we change our perspective...

Giant metal dragons take the form of helicopters,

Moving pavements simply change their name to escalators,

I can fly across the globe with the help of the internet,

The dunes of Saudah Arabyah, the mountains of Tibet,

Infrared and X-ray, nuclear fission too,

And underwater croquet?? ...

Today's high-tech inventions will soon enough look daft,

The future's only future when you're looking from the past,

The future's only future when you're looking from the past.

Here's what I came up with today, tdolan.

It might get a bit too low for a mother to sing, but it's an idea.

90bpm - 3/4

Lyrics

Make a bed in my arms, love, Right where I keep my heart, Rest your head and be warm, love, Never wish to part,

The day's been full of adventure, Ne'er a cloud to be seen, But now, my sweet little treasure, All is so serene,

Leaves, they fall in the autumn, Blossom, in the spring, Fall like the leaves and the blossom, See what your dreams will bring,

Shoo away all the worry, Hush all the doubt you keep, All of the haste and the hurry, Leave you in your sleep,

Make a bed in my arms, love, Right where i keep my heart, Rest your head and be warm, love, Never wish to part, Never wish to part.
