He opened up her hands and pulled them far apart,

Dear Honeyboy,

I may not have ever met you, or Inky, and yet you are both part of my HitRECord family. Inky was the first person to comment on my first record (my portrait – which was a big copyright violation by the way) and she was so nice about asking me about it and kindly telling me what I had done wrong. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for her for that, as well as for the incredible love and warmth she exudes in all of her art and support on the site.

When I learned you and Inky were a couple, I checked out your profile, and the first thing I saw was your “I am a heart(er)” record.  Right away I knew you were special. “I offer my support and my heart”. Those are probably the most valuable things that any of us can offer on HitRECord. And you lived by those words. I remember you recommending a record of mine that I really liked that no one else appeared to, and you made me feel so much better. I hope you know that your support was noticed, felt, and appreciated.

I picture you now walking into the sunset of life, generously leaving a piece of your heart behind for us, continuing to support and love us as you did in life.

Thank you Honeyboy. Rest in peace.

I am sorry to say I haven't really been that active of a participant of late due to school work, graduating, and feeling so burned out creativity has taken a back seat while I rest. But I've been trying my hardest at every free moment to give at least a few and hopefully more hearts a day. But I have been around to learn of the passing of one of our own. I didn't know Niko, but from the heartfelt messages I've been reading he seemed like an amazing person who fought with strength, courage and especially heart.

The RECords on this site are filled to brimming with talent. Each one is a little gift waiting to be opened and waiting to be REmixed into new bursts of sunshine. But the hearts on here keep that magic and wonder alive. Knowing someone 1000's of miles away not only looked at your RECord, but gave it a heart, their heart, love and appreciation for your labor of love. And more than anything we are a community of hearts beating all over of the world in rhythm to the beat of creativity and friendship. Niko gave his heart over and over again, putting smiles on faces of people he'd never get to meet, but who would be touched and honored to feel that love and utter respect. I may have a disproportionate amount of RECords to hearts, but it is so important even when I don't have time or energy to give some love to the lovely, fine people here and the hardwork that goes on practically every minute. honeyboy you, your few but dynamic RECords, and your over 2000 hearts will live on here in the hitRECord universe forever.

Rest in peace Niko, dear honeyboy. You loved and you are loved.

This saddens me, people here are not supposed to pass, they are supposed to stay here and support the community. I do not know honeyboy but I do know he supported my art and was eternally kind, I have a tear in my eye for a community member and I appreciate all the kindness being expressed. He was recording right up until the end of his life and he was as alive as he could be and appeared to be so thankful to all of us. I had no idea, but the fact that he was recording up to the end makes me really happy, so much support. Matthew
