Text_notecard_shadow_top_left A song I wrote today while procrastinating :P which is still a work in progress. For any fellow composers out there, feel free to set the lyrics to music, it would be great to hear anything you guys come up with!

Star Crossed in Eden

Our love was meant to be
the greatest story never told,
A love the world may think they know
but only we have learned by heart

Was your love was meant for me?
Was mine for you? We asked the stars...
Young Venus had his Mercury
while Jupiter awaited Mars

(Chorus)
There never was a love like this,
No fair Verona to restrict
the hearts that beat beneath these battered bones,
Like Adam & his Eve before they knew
too much & said too much...
My story starts and ends alone with you

Our love came far too fast
for us to recognize
that paradise can't last,
the more we thought we knew,
the less we understood

Ashamed in all our nakedness
Our memories of innocence
Now paper thin, we took the fall
And tumbled right into the winter of it all

(Chorus)
There never was a love like this
No fair Verona to restrict
the broken hearts that bleed beneath these bones
Like Adam & his Eve after they knew
too much & said too much,
The ending of this story lies with you

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left What happens to love when it's never realized?

When a love between two people is left unspoken?

Does it die over time? Is it replaced by a newer love, or does it sit, untouched in the back of our minds, waiting for the opportunity to resurface?

If you haven't been able to be with someone in your life who you've loved, what did you make of that love?

I'm really intrigued by the question of where love goes when it isn't realized and what we do to try to hide, express, destroy, or cultivate an emotion that ultimately can't be controlled.

Feel free to share your thoughts in this post, it would be awesome to get a sense of all your thoughts on this, maybe this could turn into a collaboration of some kind :).
