Line 17 of the Fall Formal Consequence Sign Up thing Here is the story so far, with my line at the bottom: The light was fading... so the young man hurried his search for the pack of light bulbs. He... ...realized now what a completely ridiculous idea it was to wait to get more light bulbs until after the sun went down. He discovered that there were no spare bulbs and soon he would be shrouded in darkness, that which he feared the most. In a frenzy, the young man drove down Main Street, eyes constantly dashing to the rearview mirror to measure the sunset. Distracted by his search for the sunset the young man made a wrong turn ending up on a street he had never seen before. Suddenly, all the streetlights flickered and then went dead, followed by the dimming of his headlights. He fumbled for his cell phone as panic began to settle in, but was stopped short by the sound of a voice that sounded like it was right next to him. But it was actually coming from the back seat. The man froze, fear crippling him completely. The voice said, "You can either do as I say, or forever wander in darkness."... The man could feel his heart racing, white knuckled hands gripping tight to the steering as he took in a breath and turned his head... Pulse thudding loudly in his ears, breath coming shallow and fast, the man didn't know whether to breath a sigh of relief or...what?! The tiny figure he now faced, seated, half-hidden by a dark hooded sweater seemed frail. Yet, the man couldn't overcome a sense of foreboding as the figure raised it's head beginning to speak... "Get your beep to the Fall Formal" as a Fall Formal ticket gets pulled out from the dark hooded sweater and placed on the forehead of the man, the man screams and closes his eyes for a second but when he reopens his eyes, he is inside of the Fall Formal Theatre with the ticket in his hand.... (line 17) "This is where you meet your end, a drama of tricks and masks offend..." echoed the figure's disembodied voice. Thought I'd take a bit of liberty with the script and give it a darker pass.
Going for the 50s graphic ad look. Feel free to play with it!
