Thought I'd add this to the patterns collab but also thought the characters might come in useful seperatly for other REmixing :D
Sooooo... Monday drawing with Jack and I decided I'd take a stab at Grandpa's record for the family pattern collaboration only to notice that it's been crossed off the list after the fact!
Pay attention people!
Drawing all those damn circles was maddening. Maybe this can be used somehow elsewhere...
The most Whaley .gif ever.
I hope the gif works this time...
Thanks for looking at my stuff, sorry I haven't been posting here much lately.
Oh the holidays! Ever so fun.
The best of food, friends, and times.
Look how confident little ham is driving Santa’s gift giving tree. And poor Cat, doing his best to hold on to not only the tree, but his little hat too!
A print of this is available in my Society6 store.
100% of the profit I make on this print will be going to the Red Cross to help those in need in the Philippines.
I hope you in particular have a really wonderful holiday season!
I've been very inspired by xobreexo23's amazing works of art. They lead me in the direction of the avant garde style where I used to find myself working. I decided to return there with this REmix. I can't speak to Bree's portion but for me there's no deep meaning; it's just weird and hopefully amusing. Feel free to read all sorts of shit into it and write a pretentious museum label for it.
As far as I can tell, Bree set up her entire scene on location so I did the same. Yes, that's a real prairie dog (no Photoshop trick) and no, they don't live in the woods or anywhere near me.
The biggest challenge was to make the two parts look like they are part of the same diptych. I did not do any color adjustments to Bree's piece. I had to make several layers of my photo to manipulate different areas so that the overall tonality would match. Given that they were shot in different locations with different lighting, it was a bit of an uphill battle and it's not perfect. It seems to work well enough, though. What do you think?
I orignally had the burning desire to make this a cinemagraph but (a) I was not sure what elements to have move and (b) it was already hard to make this and (c) I thought it might just be better as a big jpg than an animated gif. Maybe I'll still do another version.
Please go to Bree's RECord in the REsources and give it a <3 if you recommend this one--or even if you don't!
Right, this is my first draft of the fight sequence. I'm putting this up now for feedback and advice. Is the pacing OK? Does it hang together? That sort of thing.
A few things that I know I need to tweak:
Joe's walk. Yeah he looks like he's dancing. I'll fix it.
The KO punch. Nees to be nearer the middle.
Once I've tied down the sequence here, I'll then add the FXs, sounds and Power Bar etc....
Let me know what y'all think!
