heylittleworld's RECommendations
- Hindsight
A song about someone getting older and looking back.
Lyrics
Up in the attic is a faded photograph
of your wedding day
that's the way time goes these days
Out of your window is an unfamiliar scene
You remember when it was all empty and green
You remember when people said
exactly what they meant
You remember when a spade was called a spade
You remember when the universe felt young
and so did you
You remember when your love was fresh and new
Down in the basement is a box of broken dreams
Promises pulled apart, torn at the seams
Phantoms and ransoms you picked up along the way
In a life lived right, that's the price you've got to pay
You remember when people said exactly what they meant
You remember when a spade was called a spade
You remember when the universe felt young and so did you
You remember when your love was fresh and new
You remember when people said exactly what they meant
You remember when a spade was called a spade
You remember when the things you held onto were owned, not lent
You remember when the people you loved stayed
Work in progress. Still a bit raw and maybe too long.
Let me know what you think.

Thank you for an amazing year and for some amazing opportunities. It's certainly been an adventure, and one which i've shared with some amazing friends I've made through this place.
Aplogies this isn't perfect, I had to rush it inbetween packing to go home and saying my goodbyes :)
I hope you all have a magical Christmas time, or however you celebrate, celebrate it well and with happiness. And also, Happy New Year in advance. Don't be getting too drunk ;)
I might pop by once in a while, but until 2011, goodbye for now <3
When REmixing this into a video I had to take some creative liberties and REmix the actual text. It's sometimes unavoidable when it comes to a video simply due to the fact that one is constrained to available video.
But with exceptional resources like "Child's Play," it makes altering text a bit easier because the footage is very easy to incorporate into JonMac's original idea.
Without going on forever, I just wanted to add that I interpreted "LGM" to be less sci-fi and more of a poem about growing up. So much of our childhood innocence gets lost by the seriousness of being an adult. But so often we blame "society" for this. Sometimes I think we lose that innocence on our own and just don't acknowledge that possibility...
also there are TONS more tinychatters to see and talk to that aren't in the video but we can't record it all the time, or can we?
also stay tuned for the return of the chig jig and chigs serenade to tiny chat <3
