i think with the onset of hitRECorders making more and more video reREC's,  should come a collaboration where we collect all of these videos!  i know we all submit our videos to MattConley's weekly reRECommendations collaborations, and we should all keep doing that, but let's start also collecting all of the video reREC's HERE! Sound like a plan??!  Hurray! Let's DO IT! =)

This is a place to collect NON-MUSIC SOUND FX.  A telephone ringing, a cat meowing, rain... just sounds of real things happening.  If you happen to have a keyboard/synthesizer that has sound effects like these built into it, those are cool too!  i just don't want any music in this collection.  It will help if the titles of the RECords submitted have their sound as the TITLE, but that's not totally necessary.

Turn on a video camera and RECord yourself talking about your feelings. For the day, for the week, for you in general.  Don't reveal anything that you don't want to share, but try to open up and talk about yourself freely. Then tie that in with what role being creative and hitRECord play in the scheme of things for you.  =)

Joe mentioned wanting to start a documentary about cinema- how it's changing- why we love it- what's different about seeing a movie in a theater as opposed to watching one in the comfort of our homes.  How the world would be different without it... What are your thoughts about this?

The idea for this collaboration to is take a small piece of music or "loop" from the hitRECord Music Loops album and layer some voices on top of it- film soundtrack style- or however you feel like trying it, but i think not using actual words would be best so that these will work to match up with anything people want to mix them into.

All contributions will be added to the hitRECord Loops Album in a special folder by the same name as this collaboration so that they can be easily found by others.

So, there are over 11,000 audio clips on hitRECord, and many of those are of music.  i have been going through all the music i find and collecting clips from different songs to mix with each other. Like, i'll take a piano piece from one RECording and mix it with a drum track from another RECording. Or i'll find a piece of music with a cool little hook or riff and i'll loop it to where it repeats a few times in a row.

Well, i would like to invite you to do this same thing so that we can start a collection of music loops made purely from hitRECord music.  These little snippets of music are useful when scoring videos and things.  Dr. Gory even told me that it's a great resource to have loops like this ready for REmixing!

If you think about it, many of our videos are very short in length, and they don't always call for a big, long 5 minute song...

Please submit clips of music- SHORT clips of music that you think would be good as a loop for other projects.  Or submit full length songs that you could see snippets being used from.

THat's right! i would like you to recommend a handful or two of your own RECords that you most want to share with people- or that you would like to see worked on in some way.
