The Raw footage is up for you to use as you want!
Thanks to everyone for the resources, especially megan carnes for the track 'Sunday evening'.
Also thanks to Matt Conley for the link to www.archive.org (I never even knew it existed!), have used these public domain clips:

http://www.archive.org/details/CEP189

So what next....
I liked the idea I read the other day by Wirrow about the possiblity of this film being done in style simliar to Richard Linklaters 'A scanner darkly' - whereby someone films this story as best as possible (even if it's just with appropriate actors?) and then the footage is rotoscoped by us all, & the set & bkgrounds created by animation - hard work I know, but could look great!
The opening archive footage from these titles could be used a demo for this process if someone wants to give it go??!
- Church on Sunday
Second track off of 'Spilt Milk'. Have at it!
lyrics:
Nothing like a good ol' beating
to make a proper fool out of me
I've taken a torch to everything i own
and shamed my family.
I keep a will in my back pocket.
Another one is tucked in my boot.
And if you're lucky enough to see me coming,
don't hesitate before you shoot.
But I'm gonna go to church on sunday.
Make a proper fool out of me.
Lord, let me make it to sunday.
To wash all of my sins clean.
I'm gonna disappear in the evening.
Take flight before the sun bleeds.
And don't ask the sky for no reason,
or shake me down by my trail of rosary beads.
There's nothing you can pray I aint prayed for
nothing you can say I aint heard
no morning I don't wake up shaking
God damn I hate that mocking bird.
But I'm gonna go to church on Sunday
-make a proper fool out of me.
Lord, let me make it to Sunday
to wash all of my sins clean.

Favorite SITC segment. The discussion of change within a city, prevalence of media and implication of how we as individuals can actively influence the environment around us was unbelievably empowering. As technology enables us to conduct business with those across time zones sans impunity, it sometimes can become overwhelming to delve through the minutiae of the plethora of information to find relevance. What if we, as individuals, can not only encapsulate our own personal experience, but present it in a way that others can actively "see" what our issues are, where we are, without having to rely on an allegedly non-biased captial intermediary? Art can not only influence, but inform. Let's! |

- Hit RECord (Glitchstrumental)
- "Hit RECord" - Joseph Gordon-Levitt vs. Jeremy Henry's Haus of Glitch
This video of course is missing the live accompaniment of the band, so melodically it's not super compelling by itself.
So let's keep evolving this and we can finally turn this into the full on collaboration that it has been aching to become! Thanks to everyone who pitched in.
