GV’s Recommendations for Sunday, September 16, 2012

Hello guys, this is Gaby Vaughan and these are my recommendations for this week. Once again I am busy, it’s a long weekend here in my country but I am working, yeah, that’s the story of my life, so I wasn’t able to make my regular video where I talk about 2 Hitrecorders of the week and two records, anyway, I managed to make the video where I show the records that I am recommending, and also you can check the remarks below, where I explain why I am recommending all these wonderful records.

The next weekend, I’ll be celebrating my birthday (on September 23, Sunday) so is possible that I am not going to be able to make my regular RE RECS again, but we’ll see, maybe I’ll make some Birthday RECS, so I am apologizing in advance.

So, here you have my RE RECS of this week, please go and check all the records that I am recommending, give hearts to them, leave comments and feedback to all of them and check my video and comments. HUGS!

RE RECS:

1. Frame by Frame (Video Edit) by Captclare: I love this, is amazing how wonderful it looks, Captclare took some images (childhood pictures) and with great video edition skills create this small animation or short film. I would love to see more hitrecorders trying the same effect with some of their childhood pictures.


2. Cheers for kids by Tommy: I love this, I think is super cute and is a great contribution for the childhood collab. I think that all these characters are perfect for remixing, but also maybe somebody can create stories for each one of them or create a story for the whole group. I really love Tommy’s style so I highly recommend his illustrations, he have a really unique style.


3. Hitrecord dress by Urbanation: I would love to have a Hitrecord dress, the illustration is beautiful by itself but also the idea of the blue dress with the Red button in the middle is great, Urbanation is another great illustrator, so please check also all her work.


4. Hold on by Norskkk: Norskkk made this illustration trying to explain how she feels about her old guitar and she added this to the Outsiders collab, I think that she did a great job because the image is capable to transmit the feelings probably better than words can express. Love this!


5. Kites by PorpoisePie: Lovely! I love that the illustration was made in a notebook paper and then with another kind of paper were added the kites, I think it’s a beautiful illustration, perfect for the Childhood collab and I would love to see this animated, for example, that somebody made an animation of the clouds, wind and kites moving, That’s what I can imagine, someone?


6. Lonely Owl by Wink: Wink is just fantastic! I love soooo much all these illustrations and this one is not the exception, come one guys, there are owls here, and I love owls, so I have to love this, maybe someone can create a tiny story for it, or add some colors perhaps? Please wink, keep them coming, you have a lot of fans here! :)


7. Magic Night by Monika Dekowska: Another of my favorite Hitrecorders, Monika’s style is really unique and dark, mysterious and interesting, I love this new illustration, it’s perfect for remixes especially as a background for some Halloween record or the Grimm Gallery, great job as always Monika, I am glad that you are adding new illustrations lately.


8. Awkward: The Alibi Animated Extended Scene by AW Clift: Love this; Aw Clift made this animation extended scene for the awkward collab and I think is just perfect. This is one of my favorite contributions for this collab so far, I would love to see more animations made by you, so please keep them coming!


9. Electric Loss Animation (2 min) by Toss: Brilliant, Toss is being doing a fantastic job with all these animations for the Electric Loss collab, and another animations and tiny films for different collabs or just for fun; this one is great because in a 2 minutes animation, she combined some resources of electric loss with some LoFidelity contributions and the result is awesome; Come back soon Toss! :) 


10. Nights fall Collab – Queen Darkness by Gyllenmaya: fantastic and creepy character, Darren just made this fantastic illustration of a Queen of Darkness, and I really love the effect of the snow (if that’s what it is hehe) it looks like in 3D, anyway, maybe somebody can add a story or make a remix with this lady!


11. One Kiss by caroleluciole: Carole is a fantastic artist, her drawers of regular people and Hollywood stars are just brilliant and this one is not the exception! I would love to see somebody making a story about this beautiful illustration, what’s the story of this couple? It’s their first kiss, their first date? Great as always Carole! :)


12. RE: Childhood Remix by Kavonne: Just lovely, what else can I say, I would love to see this with colors and maybe as a poster for the childhood collab? I think that this is super cute and a perfect addition to this collaboration, I think that it must be used for the final work that HR staff/Directors decides to make with this great collaboration! :)


13. Shadow Heart by Themetafictionist: One of my favorite contributions for the template game #2. We have a lot of great contributions but this one is just perfect, first because I love shadows (it’s my favorite collab at HR ever) and also because Rainey incorporated the shadows in a very unique and beautiful way, I just love this! Great job Rainey!


14. Star Gazer by Devine.debris: Devine collaborate with this beautiful illustration for the outsiders collaboration and in some way it touches me in a very personal way, because I am a huge fan of everything that have to be with the space and in some way this illustration is like watching me on any night of the week when I go out of the house to watch the stars for hours, so I really love this.


15. The Fall by Jennifer Chittenden: Cute and beautiful, that’s how I can describe this illustration, since I saw it I was thinking that somebody can make an animation for it, maybe the leaves floating around the little girl and her dress and hair moving because the wind, someone can make my dream come true, ugh, I wish I could be a better animator to make it by myself LOL! Or someone can write a story for this illustration?


16. The Paid Piper poster REMIX by belcath1981: Kat, you did it again, what a great remix, this poster is just fantastic, I love that you took Ozie’s poster (which is fantastic too) and make a new version of your own, with your personal style, this is really great, I especially love that you make it like in black and white or with colors like an old newspaper or something like that, but that also you added colors like red in some parts, just awesome!! :)


17. Our Heart by Aica: I think that I saw this animation like 10 times and I love it even more every time that I watch it again. This is just lovely; I think that you did a really great job with this as always! Bravo Aica!

Music Recommendations:

-          Free (Strut) Style (Instrumental) by Wunderboy & Out of Range (Instrumental) by WilliamG Music: This time I chose these 2 fantastic instrumental songs of 2 great musicians at HR, I really recommend both artists and both songs, just beautiful and they are already in my music files in my computer.
