counttheways's RECommendations

I know of a place In the sleepy husks of what we were Beneath the crisp and coil of faraway trees Where there is time To stop. To rest. To be. So take these hands and broken smiles Sellotaped to last a while And we can run for miles and miles On feet that never sleep. (This is a poem for my dear friend Joe who passed away in 2007. I love you my Darling and I always will) |

Your tiny hands Coiling around my heart of hearts There is a place carved out for you here In the empty The idea of things that could have been Always warm Always safe Locked away in a giant chest that f l o a t s in the sea My girl and me. |

I was skimming over the beating heart section and I'm glad someone hearted beautiful_kitsch's "My Response" or else I would have never seen it and this would have never came from it. I don't know why but when I saw the picture I immediately grabbed my ink and paper and got to doodling. :)

lying here tangled in your arms inside this space quiet kisses fluttering lids the sunlight bounces off your face and I’m away this is mine my hiding place under covers over sheets between the blinks, breaths and proverbial heartbeats You don’t know what you are to me. |
