I took a trip with some friends in November out to Roy's Motel in Amboy, CA off of Route 66. This was taken with some expired film stock my mom's friend gave me.
I need some focus for all the creative energy I've had lately, so challenge me.
I can/like to:
I guess it's a rule that you can't ask me to remix one of yours? So please don't.
Hey guys, so these are my project RECommendations.
Shadow Beings: I think there is absolutely some potential here for more work to be made. We have a wide array of potential characters and a whole world to play with, and I would really love to see an illustrated book following a small number of principle characters, or even a collection of short stories.
Dialogue Tales: I think that there are a lot of these that haven't really been explored yet, and some of these could easily be made, given some visual flair and put up on the YouTube channel.
Scenes From a Fictional Film: I've been having a lot of fun keeping up with this collaboration. I know we're aleady working on a photo book, but some of these are really cool, and I love the idea of taking an image and thinking of what story could work with it, and I think the best way to showcase our photos is through books.
The Man in the Herringbone Hat (Short Film): Here's an oldie but a goodie. There was the beginnings of a short film that was put up, but I think it got brushed to the side in light of other pressing matters. I'm imagining a similar approach to the short films we've put up, using live actors in front of green screens and animating and creating the backdrops from scratch. This could be a good YouTube addition if nothing else.
I'm Leaving: I've loved this song since hearing it, and I think we could put it on an album. We have a lot of other good tracks on this site, and I think we could polish a few things up for that reason. More on this later.
RECollection Vol. 2: I think we could start to curate this. I think we're due for another one.
Outsiders: I love this collab. I don't know what specifically to start from, but I think this is a good place to start.
I'm not sure what happened in between taking the picture and getting developed, but I kinda like it.
My name comes from two of my great loves: film and music. And the only reason there's a period in between the two words is because I didn't know I could use spaces when I chose my name.
I stare up at the clouds and wonder what it would be like to fall through them. If I feel from the sky and landed on a cloud, would I land with a soft WHUMP? Or are they harder than I think they are? Would I splat against them?
Cottony balls floating across the sky, drifting where the wind blows them. As I lay on a grassy field and watch them sail through that endless blue, I wish I could be one of those clouds, not a care in the world.
I would drift along with them, laying on those soft, billowing fluffs of white. But then, what would I look at while I'm up there? Would I look down and wonder what the world is doing below me? Would I long to feel the soft grass beneath my feet again?
The grass seems so green when I'm not looking at it atop a drifting cloud.
I would ride along on those tufts of white, and be free. If I was the only one who could ride them, would I get lonely? Would I wish that I could bring a friend to laugh with, to share in the carefree sailing in the sky while the rest of the world frets beneath? Or would I be happy that I was alone, no one to complicate things, no one to question what we were doing up here.
These are the questions I ask myself as I watch those soft white clouds go their way across the wild blue. The grass may be greener, but the sky is always blue, and I will forever long to be riding those soft, white clouds..
