Sabrina was a siren facing the perils of trying to survive in the modern world. Gone were the days of seducing passing sailors with her enchanting songs, luring them closer, and devouring them for dinner. The sea trade had died off over the centuries, and passing boats previously well staffed with rugged and vulnerable sailors had since been replaced by huge automated cargo vessels. Sabrina needed to take drastic action to ensure the survival of herself and her siren sisters. Sabrina set up an online dating profile and was no longer choosy regarding the exclusivity of the sailor occupation. Potential suitors would be wined and dined on a feast of seduction and bewitchment until they were thoroughly mesmerised. Afterwards, on the journey home, she would croon her sweet songs to them, ensuring a successful ensnarement. Rather than immediately consume her newly acquired male suitors though, Sabrina now stores her treasures in an underground cellar. These men will be rationed out over the coming years, a food source for her future. Sabrina’s online dating profile has proven to be quite effective in procuring eligible men for her requirements. After all, you have to move with the times. (For sojushots 'the siren')
