My philosophy on words is that they are only what you make of them. According to the world, we measure intelligence, creativity, etc with the words you use. We've had a lot of cool collabs (amazing!) about dictionaries, words and definitions. Here's mine. The idea is to choose a word from the list below, and define it as you see fit. In defining, please video or audio it! Text records are cool if you have an idea and want another person to video/audio it. There are rules! What are rules? Rules! In order to broaden everyone's vocabulary, there will be limitations. 1) don't define the word by using the word itself, try not to use the stem of the word either. (e.g. Loss = losing something. = Nono) Get it? 2) you gotta use more than one word in defining the word (to liven things up) 3) you can't use a word more than once in defining THE WORD (e.g. an animal which eats animals is a nono) that goes for even little words like "a" or "the", try to shoot for using it only once. 4) don't use the word "is", "that", "to", or "thing" the rules may seem binding, but they're only to BROADEN the scope of things, you'll see once you start. now for the list of words (it will be expanded over time, shoot in collab remarks if you got ideas for words. it's open for amendment/ additions!) 1) such 2) work 3) line 4) life 5) record 6) pain 7) very 8) word 9) bird 10) loss 11) blue 12) heart 13) love 14) red 15) yellow 16) tasting 17) will 18) like 19) peace 20) pretend 21) idea 22) zigzag 23) time 24) against 25) magic 26) with 27) sauce 28) hot 29) whistle 30) glitter 31) arrow 32) the 33) than 34) sacrament ty phenomenaaa for some words! crispyfullerrrrrr, ty for title! |

So upon a discussion with AeB, I discovered how great of an idea it would be to use a masquerade mask as a form of a name tag (write my username on it). After making a record about it, I found out others were liking the idea as well! Some wanted masks, some even volunteered to make masks (ty!)! I ordered 10 plain silver, red, black masks on sticks to take with as extras for people. Show us your designs. Video/write your requests =] If you can't design, decorate, donate, yet you're still going to the Fall Formal, would you like to volunteer to have masks/props shipped to you by donors? That way we can have them brought to the event by you and given out. This may seem like a little task, but it is CRUCIAL for getting masks and props from Point A to Point B. Sooo much to do, and so much time to do it =) |

do something despite your insecurities. record it. diarize it. speak it. whatever. JUST DO IT so we can compile a whole bunch of courageous people. (edit: thanks to chitchat about this collab with AeB, you can also include records released (voice, text, picture, video) in which submitting it to hitrecord and the public was daring in itself. For example, if you're a poet and created your first animation and were put at unease at sharing it yet did anyway. Or a person playing the guitar for the first time) |

I dunno if anyone has done this, but I was sitting here tapping on my pen trying to come up with innovative ideas to make myself look cool/ to entertain you all with and I realized I have no musical talent and/or drawing artsyfartsy talent....then it hit me. I can make music, SO CAN YOU! and we can make a music video and all that jazz. How? Well, using household items of course, or signs and poles on the street, orrr in someone else's bathtub (because yours wouldn't be as original). So here's how it would work itself out: I'm tapping my pen, right? Well I either record a video of the tapping or I record an audio, either works (we'll tweak the necessaries later). Then someone else bangs pots and pans and RECords that. I'm being very bland here but I'm sure your creative noggins can make walls whistle or something rad like that. Weird mouth noises work too, beatbox, clucking, whatever works! for those that have ideas of what noises could be made, but don't have the resources, contribute in text and one of us lovely people will see if we can make it happen! Afterwards, once we come up with instrumentals, we might be able to get vocals AND then a pretty music artsy video. |

What would you want your sky to look like? Colors, shape, size, miscellaneous things flying about? How about an upside down world or how about making it microscopic? I don't want to take too many ideas away, yet now you get the broad spectrum this allows for. You name it, your sky. This leaves room for your creativity: songs, drawings, writing, music, galore! Go crazy. |

I haven't done this thing in a while. So as you may know, there are various sinister characters in the history of the universe that have been idolized in various works of art, movies, books, etc. Now it's your turn to create a work of art with a villain of your choosing. This villain can strictly have been a movie character, a novel character, a real life 4d person, it doesn't matter! Such RECords can include a short video clip, a drawing/ graphic, audio, or even a short story you'd like to create about said villain. Somehow in the end we surely will be able to combine all RECords and make a dandy masterpiece. |
