Ladies and gentlemen, I am beside myself with joy and anticipation :oD It is my sincere pleasure to present the very first episode of HITRECORD ON TV! Watch the entire first episode here before it premieres on television. WATCH EPISODE #1 HERE
Everything you're gonna see on this show was made collaboratively on our site -- hitRECord.org -- and the work of 426 Contributing Artists is featured in this particular episode. There's gonna be 8 episodes this season, each revolving around a different theme, like RE: Space, RE: The Other Side, and RE: Money. And since this is our first ever episode, I figured the theme of this one would be RE: The Number One. HITRECORD ON TV will be coming out on January 18th on a new cable channel called Pivot.
I'm deeply proud of this show, and I think you're realllllly gonna like it. Honestly, making this thing together with all the artists from around the world in our hitRECord community has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life so far. So, without any further ado, enjoy the show!
Thanks again <3

When I was a child, I travelled into Space.
I used the beautiful song of Vickie Avery : A Windy Song. Sorry for the accent, i'm french but I wanted to share that story to all of you and to contribute !

CALLING ALL ARTISTS: COME MAKE ART w/ US RE: "MY FAVORITE THINGS!"
You may have heard that I wrote and directed the upcoming movie "DON JON." It's a comedy about this guy named Jon who is very into his things - his car, apartment, body, and the women in his life that he treats like objects on a shelf. I want us all to make art regarding the theme "MY FAVORITE THINGS."
For instance, ask yourself: What are your favorite things? Can you truly love a thing? Can people be considered 'things?' Do our favorite things define us?
I've had this movie in my head for so long now, I'm really curious to see what kind of stuff it inspires us to make together.
You can contribute to the Collaboration here: http://www.hitrecord.org/collaborations/7347
Here's how you can contribute to this collaboration:
EVERYONE: Grab a camera and tell us what your favorite things are, and why.
WRITERS: Write a story or script regarding this theme.
ILLUSTRATORS & GRAPHIC DESIGNERS: Draw visuals or remix image resources on the site regarding this theme.
MUSICIANS: Make a song regarding this theme.
FILMMAKERS & VIDEO EDITORS: Shoot footage or cut together resources into Short Films regarding this theme.
Also, this is cool, you can download a zip file of the "DON JON" trailer, with the music taken off for editing purposes here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1313741. Resource it in what you make!
Thanks again <3

Taken with my 1978 Nikon FE with black and white film in Pairs at Place de la République. It looks as if this giant statue was taken over by children and now the republique is theres..La République des Enfants.
Maybe next time we'll actually meet in the same year.
You know how much I adore Muybridge (734490) so I had to get my hand into CaptClare's "The Muybridge Leap" (1031693) with some rotoscoping fun. Hope you all like it!
Just saw CaptClare's featured "What animates you remix" (1033054) that includes her Leap record - so amazing! - maybe this rotoscope chunk could get mixed into that? That would be rad <3
I took buckdiddy's great little video, threw some projector noise, a border and some stutter onto it, then recorded a VO for BlueBowGirl's fantastic tiny story and mish-mashed it all together. What came out was this little guy! Hope it can light some sparks in some of you!
My first Remix. I used Robo J's 'Train to Los Angeles' video footage and remixed it to ppeppina's song 'Re: loops (we can go back)'. I like how the footage of the train journey works both ways, whether it's going forwards or backwards, and the music is just really nice and melodic. Hope you enjoy it! :)
