The idea is sort of like a "coloring book," but instead of just simply adding color, you are "coloring" using elements and color from other images/resources on hitRECord, using their subtle (or aggressive) colors, textures and patterns to your advantage.

A lot of my favorite remixers on hitRECord do this already, but I thought it would be fun to start collection/collaboration for this style of reMIXing. I think they could make great postcards, posters, backgrounds for other remixes, you name it... I think a "Coloring with Collage" book would be pretty rad too, a collection of this specific style of hitRECord reMIXing.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

What to Contribute to this Collaboration:

  • Visual Artists - Find Illustrations or images on hitRECord to color-in, "color" them by using other hitRECord images, and then upload them here.

  • Upload any previous reMIXes and images that you have already colored with a collage style.

  • Filmmakers - I am totally open to seeing you take on reMIXing some animation(s) or film(s) that have open spaces with editing in other footage to Color Collage a new mise-en-scene. (The Morgan M. Morgansen films are prime examples of how these can turn out.)

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

NOTE: This is NOT where you upload your line drawings or images that you want others to color. There are already some "coloring book" collabs started that are perfect for your Illustrations, such as - http://www.hitrecord.org/records/168230

My goal for this collab though, is to remain specific to the "Coloring with Collage" styled reMIXes, uploading the reMIXing results here.

Make sense? Go!

Show me your feet, literally, where you stand.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

What I need you to contribute:

  • Currently, I just need Images [Update: video is cool too - see last bullet point] I will request other items as the project progresses.

  • Images or videos of feet taken from the vantage point of looking down at said feet.

  • I really think that photographs will work the best for this, but I am not entirely opposed to Illustrations or various reMIXs.

  • Still Images. The resources should be of still feet, NOT MOVING. There are other collaborations on here to contribute walking/moving feet, but I need them in a still image for this project.

  • ***UPDATE: video is cool too!
    Just as long as the camera is stationary, and it is only pointing down at your feet, standing in place or you can do shots where you are sitting or laying, but not walking.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The idea: I want a collection of HitRECorders' feet - where you stand. These feet will eventually be reMIXed together in a lot of different ways, but the first one I am focusing on will be a video (when we have enough feet) which will have a stop-motion sort of treatment. I am going to edit them all together flipping from one to the next based on similarities in feet size, position, juxtaposition of the different locations, and other graphical elements.

I have a lot of photos of my own feet already, which I will be upolading over the next week when I have the time to gather them all up, but in the meantime I wanted to get this going.

Thank you!

I am making a series of pieces about my grandparents, and I thought I would start a Collaboration based on the concept, "a garden for my(our) grandparents."

The pieces you add here do not have to be "garden" orriented, (though that would be cool to get a grand garden of memories) but the idea of a "garden" is more of a Metaphor...

Ideally, this Collab is a place where we can plant seeds (our memories) of/for our grandparents and then watch them grow (inspire RECords).

I've been creating these little raccoon illustrations, and a lot of HR users have been jumping in to give them stories, so I thought I'd start a collaboration to keep the stories together as they grow. Please add them here.

Who knows, maybe we can make a little book for the lil' guy ;^)

Robots like to party, right? Well, let me see you shake those sprockets!

I turn 30 this year (*gulp*) at the end of Dec. and I want to throw a virtual Robot Birthday / New Years bash here on HR in celebration.

 Idea inspired by a comment on adhgraphicdesign's "The robot quit his thankless job!" reMix of my "Electric!" robot illustration. http://hitrecord.org/records/567386left Thank you.

[UPDATE: So, this didn't really happen in time for my b-day or for the take-off of the New Year... BUT I still want to see some robots boogie, so I am keeping this alive.]

This is my first Collaboration ever - I am pumped!

I had some monster ideas, that I posted a while back... and now, in the spirit of the season, I want them to have a snowball fight!

Go!

You don't have to use my monsters; Other monsters are more than welcome (and encouraged) to join in!

If your monster is more a lover than a fighter feel free to have them doing any other winter activities AND (to answer Psalmist's question) they do not have to be "cute" monsters. ;^)
