some avant garde composers' that inspire me are charles ives and his individualistic approach, john cage's indeterminacy and chance compositions, edvard varese's poeme electroniqu and steve reich's repetition and phasing. what inspires you?

let's make avant-garde pieces that contains mixed emotions, tell stories and deliver messages both with sound & sight.

hello everyone! i have been really excited to start this woyzeck project collaboration with hitRECord. you see, i am currently involved in a project called the "woyzeck project" which is a creative collaboration involving performance, dance and visual design based on the seminal German play, "woyzeck" written by Georg Büchner in the 1800's. i would love to see if anyone would like to explore this interesting piece of writing and utilize the images and video uploaded to create a fascinating video journey. i will upload what i have so far and if anyone feels inspired to create new imagery, animation, music, writing, audio, anything, everything to contribute to this collaboration, that would be wonderful. it would be great to explore this german play a bit more through hitRECord. i think something interesting could unfold. the english script is uploaded as a RECord contribution to this collaboration. to learn more about the play: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woyzeck public domain link: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5322

let BURNING dAN inspire us all to find the superhero*s inside ourselves. the superhero system step 1: begin to think like a superhero: "You are now receiving the knowledge that will enable you to create the most magnificent version of You. The possibility of that version of you already exists on the frequency of “the most magnificent version of You.” Decide what you want to be, do and have, think the thoughts of it, emit the frequency, and your vision will become your life." now, create a RECord of yourself and the superhero you would like to uncover. upload it to this collaboration!

alright, we are going to try to summarize our lives in 15 minutes. 1 - set the timer for 15 minutes. 2 - write, talk or video RECord yourself summarizing your life and don't stop until the timer does. 3 - do this daily for 3-5 days. 4 - create an album & upload all your summaries to hitRECord or just the ones you prefer. 5 - contribute it here! OR create a lifeline in 15 minutes (no worries, you can always add onto it after the 15 minutes :) start with your birth year and document moments that come to mind year after until the present. i found that the first time i did this for a course assignment, my life summary ended up being a list of one liners. as i continue to do this exercise, my 15 minute writings become more detailed, longer & story like. i'm curious to see what happens with others. this is one of those exercises that you can do over and over again. i keep doing these writings and haven't quite summarized my life to my satisfaction in 15 minutes, but i do find that you can learn a lot about the main elements of your life that are an influence and possible motivator's of our choices and destinies. i want to hear your life in 15 minutes. please play with me :) <3
