I've been working in downtown for over year now and I finally decided to break away from the routine of "work- lunch-work" to take pictures and actually inhale the beauty around me
And suddenly all my worries seem so small.
" The Broomstick"
Once there was two young men that lives in a small town. Their names are Juan and Philip. One day, Juan asks his friend Philip if it is ok to help him clean their basement. Philip helps his friend. While cleaning, Juan founds something. A broomstick. He gets it and shows to Philip. Hey! Philip! Philip! look what I found its a broomstick says Juan. Philip asks his friend who owns the broomstick. Juan says he don't know. After they clean, Juan asks his mom who owns the broomstick? His mom says that the owner of the broomstick is his late grandmother.
Juan don't know what to do on the broomstick, so he decided to return it to the basement. Before he return the broomstick, he check it again because he feels that there is something on the broomstick. While checking, he saw a small hand written at the middle of the broomstick's long handle. It says " I need light." Juan is asking himself
what is this hand written is all about? He show it to Philip. Both of them thinks what they need to do. After four hours of thinking, Philip has an idea. What if the broomstick needs the light of the sun or the moon? Juan says good idea. Let's try it tomorrow. Its sunday morning. Juan and Philip wake up early. They put the broomstick on the sunlight. They wait for five hours but nothing happened. The last thing that they not try is the moon's light. Philip says what if if we try the moon's light? I give up! says Juan in a shout voice. Philip says don't give up. What if the broomstick works tonight? The night comes. Juan and Philip waits for the moon to show up but there's no moon. They try another day and another day, but there's still no moon. Ok! if the moon not show up tomorrow, I will not try it says Juan.
Evening comes and the moon shows up. Philip calls Juan on the phone. Dude! the moon is here. They put the broomstick on the light of the moon. When they put it, the broomstick is glowing and floating. Both of them shout. What the heck! its working says Philip. They try it if the broomstick can fly high, but the broomstick stay at the same place. Just floating. What the heck Philip! this broomstick is boring says Juan. Who the heck is boring? Both Philip and Juan hear the other voice. Philip is that you? asks Juan. No says Philip. Oh my gosh! its the broomstick says Juan. Both of them are scared, and get out of the broomstick quickly. Philip asks the broomstick with scary tone. So...you can speak? The broomstick speaks and says yes. Juan ask the broomstick what should we need to do, so you can fly? The broomstick says tell me the place that you want, and I bring you there. Juan smiles. You hear that Philip? we can go somewhere. Everynight Juan and Philip tells to the broomstick what place they want to go, and the broomstick brings them there.
I used escapingartist's awesome record as a template to make a cover with a higher res (still only 1500x1500 pixel unfortunately). Had to leave out a couple of records cause they were too small and added one or two new ones.
The demon showed no plans to harm the townspeople,
but there also was not an offering of friendship.
He simply stood and watched for months on end..
This is a photo of me I took myself, taken about a year ago holding my last x-ray taken before my spinal fusions surgery. I had almost a 70 degree scoliosis and now it is almost completely straight thanks to the surgery.
I cannot even begin to explain how much the surgery changed me, my self esteem, the way I act and live my life - I can't. I love to share this with people, and hopefully fellow scoliosis fighters/survivors will find it and share that appreciation with me.
