SparksOverEmbers wrote this story so beautifully, and it resonated so poignantly with my own experiences, (as I'm sure it has with others!) that I knew I wanted to perform my own rendition of it for hitRECord. 

Edited the text quite a bit for performance-sake, (but kept the integrity of the piece in tact!), and then filmed it all in one take. Refrained from editing, adding music, etc, in case someone else wanted to REmix it themselves!
