Kinda new to the whole hitRECord so not exactly sure what I'm doing but I read this Tiny Story - Outsider by Michal, now I'm not much of an illustrator but I do like to express emotion using music so I wrote this tune, then to keep with the 'Illustration' of the Tiny Story I drew a little something and made it into a video clip.

Hope what I've done is ok.

So once again Tiny Story Outsider by Michal

The outsider stood beside

The little low-tide, as it dried

And he sighed as he decided

"We'd be better off inside"

We heard Nothing Big and read the lyrics and figured we'd sit down and have a go and see what we could come up with.  Hope you all like our REmix of Joe's 'Nothing Big'

A few years back I was hanging out at my little local bar having a few drinks, it must have been too early for Italians to drink because it was just me, the bar tender and a little old Italian man. We all started talking and after a few bottles of wine, with some prosciutto and cheese, this little old Italian man told me a story of how he and his wife were happily married and still madly in love after many years but one day, without warning, she passed away.  He said he just didn't know what to do.  Every night he'd lay in bed looking at that empty place where she once layed, he started drinking heavily, smoking (more than before) and just couldn't sleep, until one day he realised that his wife wouldn't have wanted him to be living his life like this.  Once he finally understood this and came to terms with everything that had happened, he slept.  I got home that night, and wrote this song, Empty Bed, dedicating it to that little old Italian man and his story.  Love is an amazing thing and often portrayed as something beautiful, but what happens when that love is taken away from someone.

This is a track off our CD we made, a live studio recording, The Aroostercrats, here are the lyrics

I can’t sleep no more it’s killing me slowly. Walking round in circles, tripping over bottles empty. Pills don’t work nor alcohol, they only leave me heavy.  Out on the streets the cold of night, my breath is steady.

Where did you go, I can’t sleep without you with me.

Children waking from their dreams, to a brand new day. A world so new to them, full of love they find no pain. But I did not dream, no I did not catch a wink. On the bench beneath the tree, I sat and of her did think.

Where did you go, I can’t sleep without you with me.

So we read the Tiny Story "River's End" by Kylier and we decided to have another couch session and see what we could come up with.

River's End goes like so

"I want to float down story river to find out how it ends."

then we decided to add a few more lines and this is what we came up with

"I want to float down story river to find out how it ends.

The river runs wild, it runs free, full of tales and full of turns,

Full of mystery

But if this river ran dead on straight, I could see the end.

But I don’t want to spoil the surprise my friend"

Once again hope you like what we did with it

We came across these words/story/lyrics - Ageless by Rico and decided yet again it was time for another couch session.  This is the result

Here are the lyrics by Rico REmix with music by The Aroostercrats

Wakes up every morning to much of her surprise.
Nothing changes, always hurting.
Screams so loud, but no one ever hears her cries.

She's ageless in her mind.
But her memories are running out of time.
She's ageless like an ancient wine.
But wine never has to die.

She puts her makeup to hide all her troubles
She mirrors a 1950's pinup, but was just a double for
Harlow.
Now she's wrinkles without any script lines.

She's ageless in her mind.
But her memories are leaving her in time.
She's ageless like an ancient wine.
But wine never has to die.

She's losing everyone in sight.
She never really lived her life.
She's empty as the open sky.
She's burning every bit inside.
Her booze is keeping her alive.
But soon she'll be leaving for a better light.

She's living. She's leaving.
She's trying to survive.
She's dying, her cancer runs very deep inside.
But her legacy will bring her back to life.
A star made for the silver screen.
In her last scene, she's waving us her last goodbye.

Firstly excuse the quality, there was alot of noise in my apartment this morning and I had no idea where it was coming from! but anyway this is a response to the text 'fall love song' by eaneikciv.

It's just a short and sweet rough idea I had, I added a few more lines and put it to music.  Will get some violin going to it later, gotta wait for him to show up, but in the mean time I figured I'd have a go and see what happens, let me know what you think??

TEXT

The ground is covered with star-shaped leaves

I make a wish as they fall from the trees

Golden, red, and yellow, flutter in the breeze

And I sit and wait, patiently

……………………………………….

The clouds above, tinted with colour,

The sun sets, with such ease

The moon comes out from hiding and smiles down at me

As I sit and wait

And all the times I was wrong, I know this time I’ll be fine

Before the winter breeze
