The REGULARITY Is (still) Near

Oh, it hurts. I can't write it out. Just hit that play button...

On the upside, I'm absolutely still gonna start on time with that there regular RECording routine. The REGULARITY begins one week from today.

And here's my idea for what we're gonna do on the actual day of 11/11.
I wanna make something together called "The REGULARITY Is Here".
And I wanna start it and finish it all between 11:11 AM and 11:11 PM california time (my apologies to the later-time-zoned europeans and australians).
You know how they do those 24-hour and 48-hour film festivals? Well we're gonna do a 12-hour festival. Except instead of a little group of people in the same place, we're a whole bunch of people all over the world. I'm just gonna stay working on it for 12 hours straight. See what we can make.

Also, I'm not allowed to say what it is yet, but this coming monday, I'll have some really big news for hitRECord that sort of throws our story into a whole new frame.

Thank you for playing.

again by heart...

Drum & Bass style music composed and performed on an original Nintendo Entertainment System

I got this really slick hardware hack for the original Nintendo Entertainment System called the MIDINES. It's made by Xik over at http://wayfar.net. It lets you control the Nintendo's sound chip with an external MIDI instrument like a keyboard or computer. I composed this little demo song using my computer, but it's all being played back and recorded on the Nintendo's single mono audio output. There are some digital effects added on top, but the recording was done in one shot. Nerdy delicious. Just for fun.
