What's more beautiful, whimsical, and resonant than the story of Love and the Soul?

I agree with ChrisStorms (http://www.hitrecord.org/records/352483) that this would make a fantastic story for the hitRECorders, and I would really love to see it happen. There are so many opportunities here to make something beautiful, ugly, or wild- with pictures, musical pieces, and filming.

This story has it all: Love, suspense, adventure, allegory, betrayal, deception, good vs. evil, a large cast of characters, and a likable, heroic couple as the protagonists.

The tale is very resonant with our culture. It comes in on the tail end of the Greek myths, and shares elements of both the older myths and the folk tales we are more familiar with (such as Beauty and the Beast).  It has been represented in art many, many times, and inspired numerous other folk and fairy tales.

Beyond all the other logical reasons why Cupid and Psyche's tale would make a good choice, there is the simple truth that it's just a really interesting story- if it weren't it wouldn't have survived so well. (I personally hold it in my top three favorite myth/faerie/folk tales).
