Im not even if sure if anyone is reading this, or if anyone will care, but I really wanted to get one of my ideas out there, in hope to get recognized. And if someone is reading this, thanks :) So here it is. The story is set back in the 'Wild West' as the Gold Rush is dying. Reese Harlem, a seventeen year old girl (im going to use a boy character instead of a girl, but I haven't thought of any names yet), sets out to put things right. Jackson Harlem, her father, dies in a train explosion on the way to a business trip. Jackson owned one of the most succesful mining industries. Winston Remington, a close family friend, had given Jackson the land of which he found the money. After her fathers death, Jacksons lawyer meets with the Harlem family and informs them about a large amount of money Jackson had found on his land. He had kept the money secret, knowing if anyone had knowledge of the money, they would go after it. Of course, someone finds out about it, which eventually leads to the train explosion. Winston Remington had learned of the money through a letter, written from Jackson to his lawyer, which he accidentally ran across. Driven by jealousy and old grudges, Winston hires a group of men to set explosions in the train Jackson would be taking. The lawyer tells the Harlem family that in order to keep the money, they need to prove that its real. Reese knows her family wouldn't recieve anymore money from her fathers company, considering they shut down shortly after his death. She decides to go out and look for it. She turns to the family friend, Winston Remington, for help. He tries to talk her out of finding the money, and when she continues on her pursuit, he tries to lead her astray. Throughout the story, Winston goes to new levels in order to stop Reese from finding the money. Eventually, Reese discovers her fathers death was not an accident, but that Winston had murdered him. So, while she is in search of what is rightfully hers, she is also trying to find a way to prove Winston murdered her father. So what do you think? There are a lot of kinks that I need to work on, I know. Please let me know :) |
