CALLING EVERYONE! LET'S START MAKING ART TOGETHER AROUND THE THEME OF CHILDHOOD!

We want to begin making records together regarding the theme of CHILDHOOD! For many of us Childhood is a time of pretend & playing with your imagination. So let's take this theme (which was contributed by RECorder van-gramsci) & see what we can create as a community. We could even end up making an entire Live Show around this theme featuring different Short Films, Music, etc.

Here's how you can contribute to this collaboration:

EVERYONE: RECord yourself talking into a camera about Childhood & upload your video to the site. Some topics could be What do you remember most about your childhood? or What's your earliest memory?

PARENTS: Make art with your kids for this collaboration! You could RECord them telling a story or reacting to a story or character from hitRECord. Perhaps they'll create their own artwork. NOTE: Please only RECord your own children!

VIDEO EDITORS: Download footage on hitRECord regarding Childhood & start cutting it together into short films.

WRITERS: Write a story RE: Childhood.

ILLUSTRATORS: Draw a picture or create a character (or series of characters) RE: Childhood.

CURATORS: You can create & curate Albums of records from hitRECord that revolve around this theme.

NOTE: Since Marcel Proust's novel "A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu" is in the Public Domain, we could also remix the text for this collaboration. Perhaps we could select a sentence from this novel about childhood & make a short film out of it. How else can we use this novel as a resource? Let us know!

wirrow, our Global Curator, has just started a collaboration entitled "Monsters VS. KIds" which combines the Monster City Collaboration with the Character Collab. The premise involves a group of Monsters who invade a city and a team of Characters (preferably kids) who band together - zombie movie style - and face the Monsters. 

The story is to be told through illustrative journal entries, so both sides of the story will be told through this concept.

Here's how you can contribute to the "Kids VS. Monsters" collaboration:

ILLUSTRATORS: This story will be told through illustrations, so please create new characters for both sides of the story (Monsters & Kids.)

IMAGE CURATORS: Search through both the Monster City Collaboration & Character Collab and curate albums of your favorite character contributions (preferably kids.) This curation will be key to helping Writers come up with the stories.

For a long time now we've been selecting Themes and making art regarding those Themes. But we need to develop New Themes. So let's hear your suggestions!

Your RE: Theme contributions should be broad enough so all sorts of art can be created for them, but they should also be specific.
