	i stood by the trees, their leaves became flames, their sparks floated up to the sky, out in to space swirling with life, spinning with fire dancing like children, filled with laughter like burning stars to light the night, ignite the soul yet, i could not stop the winds from blowing, the rains from falling, so my heart kept singing my soul kept spinning, spiraling in the center of things till all voices became one, till all memories became leaves carried away by the seasons i looked long and deep in this direction, the ticking of time the aging faces of loved ones and the shadows that rest by our sides i looked long and deep in the well of the trees and saw the roots that binds us, the flesh and bones of family it reached far beyond what my eyes could see, it was endless i wanted to hold your hands and kiss the darkness away to keep the silences from drowning out the songs of life to keep the coldness of the night from putting out the candles i sank into its whirlpool, pulled inwards by the calling, the voices of the beloved and passing spirits i fell inwards, spinning, tuning in circles in its infinite flow slowly consumed by the trees, by light, by fire till we were nothing more than the stars itself. . . again and again and again. . . by heart <3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- in memory of BURNINGdAN (1974-2010) in memory of passing spirits who remain fires in our hearts
