OrigamiArtichoke's Collaborations

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Hey HitRECorders, I noticed that some people had started work on a video version of my Fake History of the Fall formal (http://hitrecord.org/records/216382) - and this makes me very happy :)

Please help out the existing RECords

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left STOP. YOU. YES YOU. YOU'RE ALREADY ON THIS PAGE SO DON'T STOP READING NOW... YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO CONFESS.
I reckon it would be funny if everyone made an audio confession saying 'my name is ___ and HitRECord makes me feel like a kitten' and then we could make a wind-up video... for 'banter'.

Hop to it.

Is HitRECord REALLY working? HitRECord was created (and we have proof in the below video) to make us feel like kittens...

1) http://www.hitrecord.org/records/178695/forum

2) http://www.hitrecord.org/records/183798

Thanks to those of you who suggested this collaboration... and to thesherbethead for the first ever confusion. We admire you, you are brave.

How hitRECord impacted you?
Have you had kitty-food cravings?
Are you sprouting whiskers yet?

WE WANT TO KNOW. SPREAD THE WORD. THE KITTENS ARE COMING...

Whether you would like to confess the transformation of your lifestyle to that of a feline in video form, text form, image form, or audio form - we don't care. It just may make you feel liberated knowing you aren't the only one.

P.S I like feeling like a kitten, but if I'm going to be brutally honest I'm not a huge cat person. I'm also allergic - ironic eh?

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left So, I was at The Secret Garden Party Festival and near our campsite there was this 'Tree of Lost Things'. There were pens, and a pile of suitcase labels, and thousands had written anonymous confessions about things they had lost on the labels, and tied them to the tree.

Of course, HitRECord has less of that element of anonymity,
But it might be fun interesting to write what you have lost.

If you would like to contribute... please put RE: The Notebook of Lost Things, before you contribute...

What have you lost?
-Your car keys?
-Somebody close to you?
-Your HitRECord virginity?

Add them to the Notebook of Lost things and we will see how something could develop.

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Okay, so many of you may have seen Le 'Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain' - a beautiful film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. BUT, here on HitREcord we can only use ORIGINAL material, so we can be inspired - we just can't pinch images from it or words...we can only be inspired :)
So I thought of an idea INSPIRED by it a while ago...
Similarly to the pocket autopsy collab,
I thought we could look at the idea of how boxes (even nostalgic childhood tin boxes) can tell a story...
Warhol did a famous piece of time capsules which was a load of boxes...In fact lots of artists have, but I thought at hitREcord we could make something of it?

I've attached a photograph of the kind of thing I was going for - cross-processed with a green and red filter.

It is a cigar box with a little bicycle, vintage first aid kit, photographs of my family when they were younger, badges, toys and trinkets... etc.

You get the picture... I will create the collaboration anyway so you can add ANYTHING to it, e.g.
- an audio clip describing your box
- a video
- nostalgic music
- any French speakers out there?

Don't know where this collab could go or even if it could go somewhere, but it would be fantastic if people could contribute.

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left UPDATE: I would love of it if somebody could illustrate the hitrecaurus (some sort of geeky dinosaur with round glasses, holding a sign saying 'synonyms at your service']

Okay, so this idea is inspired by the famous 'Morgan M. Morgansen's Date with Destiny'
by Metaphorest, in which the entire story is made of MADE-UP WORDS... Metaphorest does this in such a clever way...

For example (and as these are made up words they could mean anything, but you get the idea)

juice of the old red grapes = wine
foodpenguin = waiter in a tailcoat
eatlists = menus

Metaphorest's made-up words are great, and it is fun to do.... for example, let's take something random - like, a digital camera? That could be an 'image flashsnapper'. You get the picture.
Anyways, thought we could do some sort of big HITRECORD Thesaurus... a bit like Albert's 'Bring your own words' collab that started the whole concept.

It really reminds me of the writing style of Charles Dodgson (known more commonly as 'Lewis Carroll') in that is is very creative and intellectual and just pure GENIUS.

We all know how popular the Morgan M. Morgansen project became... so I thought we could do a sort of HITRECORD Thesaurus - even create a NEW LANGUAGE OF ALTERNATIVE WORDS...

HitREcord has given us Tiny stories...and so many other exciting things...

If you like this idea - just start contributing made-up words... you don't even need to illustrate them

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Craetvie Mistkaes - the notion of accidentally on purpose...

I don't know where this collaboration might lead...
This is my first day as a new member to HITRECORD.ORG so sorry if an idea like this has already been generated...

Contribute anything to the collaboration that explores the accidental and the deliberate, in different ways... for example, the image I have included is of paint that I spilled - it looks like a coffee stain, and even though it was an accident - it ended up looking quite beautiful.

Celebrate your creative mistakes hitRECorders!

Thanks and please contribute to what I think could be an exciting project,

X
