All NCViper's RECords
And the circle of life continues...
After several weeks of not seeing my best gal, going to the park has been a slightly less joyful experience.
It's Fight Club amongst the squirrels as they seek out their winter nests...nearly everyone is pretty chewed up, infected, and looking a bit like war victims. Fauxser was one of them, and the last I saw her, the wounds were impeding her ability to run.
Who know. Maybe her little furry face will reappear, one of these days.
In the meantime, I've been overjoyed to watch (from a distance) the playful antics of a few summer babies. I 'stalked' this one yesterday, and found that if I threw myself onto the ground while still ~10' away, I could slowly crawl (across the sand, pine bark, ant hills, and other organic debris) close enough to get some shots.
My naked elbows and arthritic knees were NOT impressed, but 100+ images later, I was smiling like a kid in a candy store.
This little critter is so young, that he/she has little muscle coordination, which meant that hunting for edible morsels often meant toppling over.
I doubt there's much use for a RECord such as this, but I couldn't resist the urge to share the unimaginable cuteness with everyone...this little reminder of the circle of life.

Ok, after reading a few 'first' offerings, I figured I would throw mine into the fray! And yeah, I was a horse fanatic... Horses Some horses are black Some are gray Some like oats Some like hay Some sleep at night Some sleep at day But no matter what They all say neigh. *shakes head and walks away* |

Three blind mice. Three blind mice. See how they RECord. See how they RECord. They took over hitRECord one day With everyone's RECords they did play They made antelopes 'moo' and rabbits 'bray.' 'Til Joe came along, and shooed them away. Three blind mice. |

We whiled away our hours and days in San Marco, secluded as we were in our quaint room overlooking the Grand Canal. Our spoken hopes and dreams lingered mid-air, as lovers floated past, their gondolas slipping quietly through the waters below. Echoes of the past inspired us to write pages of our own story, new memories etched on mental scrapbooks. |

This is from long ago, and far away... (in other words, I was 12 years old, and living in Maryland) there was a mousetrap there was some cheese there was a mouse who always said 'please' one day as the mouse walked by the trap the mouse said 'please' but the trap went 'SNAP' the mouse lost his tail the trap lost its cheese and never again did the mouse say 'please' (Please be kind! I wrote this long before a whole lot of hitRECorders were even born!) :D |

When I was younger, I wanted to be strong...but ''they'' told me I was just a girl. Now that I'm older, I want to be younger...so I can TUNE OUT their small voices. |
