MorganLeigh's Featured RECords
I had a dream that you were asleep next to me, but when I woke up you weren't there ... and I was happy.

An open letter to RegularJoe and the rest of the contributors of HitRECord.org: I joined HitRECord on 7/13/10 on a whim. I cannot even recall the chain of events that eventually led me to this online establishment. Regardless of my vague journey to this place, I am so glad I found my way here. It’s been four days since I joined the site and I must admit that I feel like an infant who is so unsure of this new world but quickly learning and growing in appreciation. In the last 4 days, despite working 3 jobs, I found, with ease, the time to upload 78 Records. I have loved working on the, what I called, little art projects for collaborations and finally had a reason to finish a short story that had been abandoned on my MacBook for 2 years. Joe, I find that your vision and intention for HitRECord.org is not only revolutionary, but honorable. Being an artist in New York has been a blessing, but I would be in great denial if I didn’t recognize the great walls that are built up separating the mainstream artist and all the rest. What has been most saddening was to see how many artists are closed off to helping each other succeed. The lack of “community” among emerging artists was something that always boggled my mind. I find your vision for this website and each one of the contributors to have already proven their integrity as an artist by putting themselves, their art, and their ideas on the table to begin to build a better, more modern and multi-dimensional community of passionate artists. As I look onward toward my future involvement with HitRECord.org I am excited and bursting with ideas! I cannot wait to witness the creations that are going on every day in this very special corner of the artistic world and am so grateful to have found my way here. With much respect and adoration, Morgan Leigh Kennedy |

As musical notes burst within the tiny space of "Pianos", they were met with harmonious flashes and blinking, little, red lights. A happy group of RECorders.
