I added voice overs to the original video along with a second half focusing on the countryside. I also added in text from the poem "I am a city" written by eugenieinalamp. I still have some audio tweaking to do and a few more ideas I'd like to add to the video, but it's a slow process due to a broken wireless mouse that likes to double click whenever it feels like it (not so fun when editing)

If anybody has any ideas they'd like to contribute or even just some constructive criticism, I'd more more than happy to hear your input

A couple of things I could use:

1. If some of you would like to record short video clips, or even just an audio clip of you saying "Hi my name is YOUR NAME and I'm from YOUR CITY", I have an idea for editing them all together.

2. If you happen to know what font was used for the HITRECORD logo that would help me out as well. Everything I found on my computer was always slightly off.

Me reading my poem 'Nobody'.

I REmixed tommacarte's "In a City" poem. The words are REarranged into a completely different version, mainly because I didn't want the voice to be first person and secondly I had to omit any references to trains or Europe in order to make the words match Geno's videos. Couldn't avoid having Hong Kong double as New York however. :)

This one I have left space for ANYONE (no matter how you see yourself as a "musician") to contribute - see collabo. Hopefully we can achieve something that is akin to a chorus of RECorders.

For a starting point, there are 2 parts that you can sing a long to (one is pretty much spoken word and the other is just silly singing, so don't be shy!). The first comes in around 1:20 and all you have to say is:

"no seed, no water (3x). no nothing"

The second part is around 2:30 (please contribute so we can bury my lackluster vox!:

Then if you're feeling extra spicy you can do the 1st "no seed no water no nothing" part again. Or I can just edit it in there! Also, the outro could use some singing - maybe just humming or more lalalas, dumdeedas.

The song is 83 BPM.

It is a simple oldies/doowop blues progression. It is a love song. My friend Melissa has already contributed cello but this could use so much more! Pianists, strings, vocalists, guitarists (might be cool to add some layer on the line that's already there).

We're also gonna need some verse lyrics and 1st chorus lyrics. It would be pretty neat if the whole thing was kept at a level where everyone could sing and contribute. :)
