Hello, RegularJOE here. HITRECORD is an open collaborative production company, and this website is where we make things together.
Writers, musicians, filmmakers, video editors, animators, illustrators, photographers, photo-shoppers... Wanna work with us?
I direct our community in a variety of collaborations. When one of our productions makes money, we split the profits 50/50 between the company and the contributing artists.

Attention: ILLUSTRATORS / ANIMATORS / MUSICIANS / VOICE OVER ARTISTS This is a collaboration for "Make-Up Sex: A Tiny Film" which will need the following elements from each set of artists: 1) ILLUSTRATORS * Illustrate the LIPSTICK character (female, big lips, big eye lashes, smoking cigarette, Jessica Rabbit-esque) * Illustrate the MASCARA character (male, mopey, middle-aged, mustache, droopy brush on his head, all-around pathetic) * Illustrate HOTEL ROOM and HOTEL ROOM ELEMENTS (cheap motel bed, motel lamp with red lace over it, rustled sheets, miscellaneous clothing items, ash tray, cheesy framed beach painting, tacky wallpaper, bad carpet) * Refer to MOCK-UP ILLUSTRATION in video for more details!!! * Upload TRANSPARENT .PNG files of illustrations (with body parts separated for animators to use easily) 2) ANIMATORS * Once illustrations roll in, follow the MOCK-UP ANIMATION in the request video and assemble the resources (video should be about 10-15 seconds.) * This is a pull-back tracking shot with a rack focus midway that goes from the disappointed Lipstick to the pathetic Mascara character. 3) MUSICIANS * The score is only going to be about 10-20 seconds long, but we want to open with jazz-type music (preferably a saxophone solo) that sets a sexual mood. * The score gets muted and out of whack once the pathetic Mascara character is revealed. * Further requests for music will come after an animation assembly is created and we can time the score according to the action and rhythms. 4) VOICE OVER ARTISTS * The final narration and wording is not quite set yet. The wording could go a number of ways (both v1 and v2 of the Tiny Story are resourced below.) * Once we have an animation assembly, we can determine the tone and specific wording for the voice over.
