"Don't do it!" Did the doleful doodle cry as the eraser eased to eradicate his erstwhile, elementary etchings...pink and plump, but pitiless. |

Acrylic on Canvasboard. This is yet another of the many paintings that have been in the months-long back-log incurred by a very busted scanner. The night sky was a wonderful thing for me when I was a child, full of whimsy. This is meant to be a toybox rendition of a dreamy skyline.

I am from plane rides. From the scent of the recycled air that clings to my hair And kisses my eyelashes. I am from foreign soil The sand making new beaches under my nails sculpting my hands. I am from my panda bear My companion with the button eyes Constant hugs shaping my arms I am from the high school beatings The weight I bore on young shoulders The bruises on my knobby knees I am from the stage lights The glaring focus, pounding hands that light my smiles And measure heartbeats I am from the discord of sex Of what the mirror failed to give and the body of me split in two. I am from jumping fires on New Years Asking for the grace of luck With long legs flung over flame and the void. I am made of dances Dirty feet bare and made of joy Pounding the dust to music under stars I come from love From the love of brothers and sisters in blood and marriage Spirit and flesh. |

A stop-motion remix of the sweet doo-wop diddy 'Mommy & Me' in 483 frames. The frames are shaky because I had to hold the camera in my teeth to get the still just right. Too poor for a tripod!
I know our Illustrious Leader doesn't actually celebrate the big day until the 17th, but here are some happy wishes early on. Early birthday gifts are nice, right?
A brief little stop-motion valentine in 133 frames.
